Anyone knows how to push start a bike?

My bike can't start

To ride on the road, You need skills,Stamina, or even luck.

But to be a good rider, you have to change with your environment, and adjust yourself to its rhythm.

Cultivate the confidence to face the different situations. Don't let yourself to be subdued by the environment :thumb:

find a slope or a slight ramp.. so u can sit and roll downhill with ur bike.

for me,

i will engage 2nd gear, then when the bike have pick up speed, half clutch it..

When you have walked my path of pain and suffering

you will understand my need for revenge and to inflict pain on those who have betrayed me

yeah, that will be easier for you, especially multi-story carpark slope..

find a slope to gain some speed, maybe multi car park.

then push the bike, once you have some speed just throw the clutch, or clutch in slowly. you cannot be in gear 1 hor

well both ways worked for me

i think u're giving a wrong advise... unless u're running down a 45deg slope....

Life is not the amount of breath u take, but the moments that take ur breath away.

It is not how hard you fall, its how fast you get up.

Step by step (with detail)

1) Turn on bike

2) Clutch in

3) Shift bike to gear 2

4) Release clutch

5) Reverse bike until you feel that the bike is harder to reverse

6) Clutch in

7) Run with bike or get someone to push you

8) When you reach the maximum speed you can attain, throw the clutch

9) Throttle accordingly to prevent the engine from dying

I hope this helps.

10.) close the clutch quickly or else the bike will fly out of your hands

Really? I was thinking on the lines of a 2B bike. Never owned a bike more than 125cc. :cheeky:

it will fly... for class 2b 2 strokers. 4 stroke won't fly off that strong ah. usually people caught offguard... from a "cant start engine" becomes "crashed bike"

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

After the bike starts and you want to mount it... don't forget to go to neutral before you put down the side stand.

:D

Otherwise you have to start pushing your bike around again.

Use first or second gear both can, but to 1/2 clutch while pushing is very tough.

And when you fully release the clutch, make sure you keep pushing, don't stop just because can hear engine about to start.

Another reason why have to keep pushing is because once the engine starts running, the bike will also start running away, so you best be running too, otherwise the bike will fly out of your hands.

Then when you know for sure the bike is running, clutch in, brake and change to neutral before mounting the bike.

No real need to revv the bike, during the whole procedure, and if you want to revv, be sure that the clutch is fully clutched in.

If bike can not start, either electric or kick start, there are excess fuel in the engine so you have to wait a while and try again. Continue to start will introduce more fuel and overflow the engine. Push start is quick way to overcome this but if you are alone, wait for a while is the better choice. It happen to me the other day engine stall after I pick up from traffic light to 2nd gear. Have to push to the side and wait for a while before cranking the engine to run again.

i see a lot of advise saying throw clutch, throttle.

to a newbie who never done it b4, their bike is gonna fly or drop, be it 125cc or 1000cc bike. throttle control is very important.

my advise: throw clutch, engine alive, pull clutch, open throttle, pull front brake slowly.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?
