Harley Riders gather

anyone have this similar problem? my condo management is asking us bikers to relocate to the basement because we are too noisy (there are 3 Harleys but I think I am the main problem). I dont idle my bike. I start and go. From the moment I start till I am completely out of the estate, it is just 20 secs and I ride my bike maybe 2-3 times a week day time only. It is only those few units living near the carpark floor that is complaining. They don't appreciate the beautiful sound of a Harley :cheeky: and cannot tolerate 10 secs of noise in the car park when they knew very well that if they bought a unit near the carpark (or swimming pool or playground), they have to contend with some temporary noise. Sigh! o_O

Look at it this way. If it was some other bike like a kup kia that has very noisy but not nice sounds, you'd think the same way. Not everyone are bikers or Harley enthu so they won't appreciate it. Also if they have babies, they also can't take sudden noises. Last time, I always get fine if I park in the carpark cos once I enter, the whole multi-story carpark echos of my bike. Doesn't help that I never put coupon but that's another story altogether. hahaa. Now I park somewhere else and I switch off my engine when I enter my lane and glide into my parking space. No fines so far. ;)

Harley's pass by my place every night and though it's nice, sometimes it's good to have some peace and quiet. Actually all kinds of bikes pass by my place. I giv up on having peaceful nights liao. hahaa. At least it's to the basement and not outside the estate. :)

Just bought a set of shortshot & fuelpak from them, great service too.

Hope this helps.

Go to ebay to buy the parts, then go to one of the local workshop to fix it up. That is if you are looking to get your parts at a cheaper price. I like Vanes & Hines design, so I would recommend that. Can forget about screaming chicken.. sorry I mean screaming eagle.. Those are not any louder than stock :thumb:

I doubt they'll ban Harley's. Probably make us riders park as close to the exit gate as possible.

I got a fren who lives in a condo in sengkang n he rides a harley. the residents complain his bike too noisy. so the management purposely drew a bike lot at the end of the basement carpark n asked him to park there. damn stupid.

Recently, there are rattling sounds somewhere at the rear end, not exhaust shields. Sounds like loose shield rattling against the exhaust, but tested all the covers none of them makes the rattling sound when idling or low throttling while stationary. Damn sian, like bike falling apart.

PhanPhan, Honda Phantom TA 200 (Aug05-July07)

TiTi, Yamaha Majesty YP250 (Jul07-Oct09)
