It was not the usual engine sound lor...

Its a loud metallic knocking sound (tik tak tik tak) that can be heard a few bike length away...

For improved braking from the stock setup, you can try changing to brake pads that withstand higher heat temps and offers superior braking power. Also you can change to brake fluids with higher boiling points to prevent or minimize brake fade.Steel braided lines will help as the hose itself will not expand as much under braking as compared to the stock rubber hoses. One level up from this, would actually be changing to floating brake rotors which offers better braking, better heat dissipation and improved brake alignment. If all these still does not satisfy your braking requirements, then we would advice changing the caliper setup.Come by the shop and we can explain to you and advice more.

Sorry double post.....

any way, best to get bck the same specs...

IfI'm not wrong, there shouldn't be any effect....

but do take note of the max rpm...

DO NOT EXCEED 8K RPM IF NOT PINGING WILL OCCURS & GOOD LUCK...LOL

either 6.8k (same as what i'm using) or 7.5k (not easy to find though)

Cheers!!!

hmm... i'm not tracking, so dun think need those high temp stuffs leh... :shy:

(have played with those on my car...)

eg. high temp brake pads will need to heat up before it's effective, imho a gd set that matches the rotors will even be better

if not, u will not get the performance u r looking for.. or warp rotor due to overheating... o_O

Steel braided is a must and it gives u more control over your braking... and i already have that :cheeky:

floating rotor is not going to have much improve if i keep to my stock calipers

but it definitely looks better

Will pop by for my servicing soon and will discuss with u further :thumb:

I use ankle high boots which shapes like office shoes, water resistant enough for light showers. Bought at Penin.

I have the best signature.

I'm using Timberland Goretex boots for rainy weather. Looks good with pants and keeps your feet dry. You can do some hiking on the side too! Got them for $99, down from $299 at the Timberland Factory Outlet at IMM about 3-4 months back. Quite good prices though, definitely worth the trip down if you don't mind past season's models.

for local use, i am on my 3rd pair of sidi mid tour boots, normally a pair last me around 2 to 3 years, think price is around $220

for touring, i use the sidi vertigo gore-tex for little more extra protection, price i think is $280
