@revhappy, where you get the piece of metal behind the headlights? i want also! can fit 1st gen phantom?

I guess devil.L has answered your question. It came with the bike, when I bought it. Not sure if it can be fitted for your version. But I can take some close up snaps and post if you want. Then you can check if it fits.

DIY rattlecan spray.. with advice from bro jevan.. thanks for the advice! used Nippon Pylox and the paint seems pretty tough, but will be careful with petrol spills...

Naim,

If you worry about Petrol spills, then use clear lacquer spray after your spray works is completed. It will resist the petrol. Done that and tested.

Yeah. Nippon has a clear spray that you can use as well. And I second that it will resist the petrol.

Got bike must ride!

nice bike! very well maintained!

can i ask what is the alu wrap for? sound only? just curious..

and is it true that ah koon's crash bar don't rust?

i bought one from ah boy last time, rust like mad.

i parked at open carpark without cover, maybe that's why.

do share! thanks!

alu wrap helps keeps the engine bay cooler by making the exhaust gases hotter. hotter exhaust faster heat dissipation. your exhaust wrap does the same thing as well but mine cost like 5 bucks.

and it makes the exhaust sound deeper.

ah koon crash bar rust also. but I keep mine always covered. starting to rust abit in the area where the metal is welded.

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Anyone can advise where and who sell quality Crash Bar that is less likely to rust - better Chrome work ?

just keep polishing n it will be fine. my fre's crashbar more than 3 years old, no rust. i think from ah boy. only deep scratches will rust, but even that can just polish/clean off with turtle wax brand chrome polish.

saw ur bike on forum after spraying. do u have a photo of a side view of your bike. where you mount your side panniers? how much? I wanna find a mounting position that is very close to the top box. most of the bikes i saw, their top box are abit far away from the panniers. I tried to pm but mailbox full

thanks take your time. i m still thinking whether to put side panniers. quite unwilling to sacrifice the convenience of squeezing thru traffic easily
