It was a case of deja vu while riding today.

 

I entered PIE towards Changi. I was about to lane split between lanes 3 and 2 when the van on lane 3 signalled and swerved at the same time. Thank goodness I regulated my speed and the e brake only had to lose about 20 or 30km/h of speed, so that was close but manageable. The driver probably didn't even realised what happened but I'm not too ruffled. It must have been an omen.

 

Cause after i was shaken a little, I was cruising in lane 3 slowly when in the corner of my eye i saw a phantom/harley facing oncoming traffic in the emergency lane, pointing 45 degrees towards the bush. There was some debris on the road. Something must have happened. Cause there was a person with one knee down, trying to stand up or reach into bush. no one else was in the vicinity. Weird.. Now I was even more shaken. Another couple hundred metres ahead, i saw another bike on the e lane with hazard lights on. What, another broken down bike? And then no 3, a car, on the e lane, and then another couple hundred metres ahead, the 4th car, with 2 people standing behind the car writing something and the boot was raised. Towards Toa Payoh, no 5 and no 6 cars on the e lane. All these incidents seem unrelated and looked like single vehicle breakdowns because there were all at elast 200 to 500 metres apart. Perhaps one or 2 could be stopping for fun? I dunno...

 

I exited Toa Payoh, and saw an EMAS vehicle heading opposite direction. I turned right towards Toa Payoh hub and then, coming towards the green lights, an MPV turned on harzard lights in the middle of the 3 lane road and braked to a complete stop. Thank goodness the mpv behind him braked to a stop too, instead of swerving into me. I wasn't going to be no 8 after all. What a bizarre day...

 

Did anyone see all these things along PIE East bound at 9 plus earlier?

I forgot that I refuelled on SG petrol and thus have lower milage compared to Malaysian petrol... riding on AYE, bike died on me and I couldn't reach down to turn on the reserve as I was filtering lane. In the end pulled by the roadside of AYE to turn on reserve while cars zoomed past me.

today while riding, i think i scared the sh*t out of the malaysian customs official at 2nd link. it was about 9pm when i went in and found out i didn't have any white card with me. i left my bike in an empty counter and walked to the nearest counter to ask for a white card. the officer was reading newspaper when i came near the counter. when i called out to him to ask for the card, he looked up and got a nasty shock he almost fell off his chair.

 

probably it was due to my laziness of taking off my full face helmet and the sore eyes i have when hydraulic fluid was introduced to my eyes earlier at work today.

Today while riding i just seem to hear horns everywher and its very distracting. But the two of the horns is meant for me though i nv do anything wrong.

 

1st incident, waitin at traffic light for light to turn green. Behind me was a cisco van. After moving off, going straight, d van behind me all d while, one part, i had to turn left, d van quickly overtake me n go to d next lane and horn at me a few times. Scary. As if i did something wrong.

 

2nd incident, on d way home frm school. One lorry behind me keep horning, then i quickly change lane n overtake d car in front, d lorry aso change lane n started horning n inside can hear some guys laughin so loud.. scary sia.

 

In both incidents i seriously dunno wat wrong i did coz as far as i noe i nv do anything wrong. Why they horn ?? argh. . even if ppl do anythin wrong, i nv use my horn . and i really hate it wen ppl use d horn, esp wen ther is no purpose for it !!

maybe there was sth wrong with ya? like you had sth dangling outta your pocket or your bike? forgot my keys and left it hanging at the lock there with my "RESCUE" tag there dangling..few times riders and drivers info me by horning and pointing to me like crazy

 

Today while riding I wanted to try if my bike can go any faster and I went up to 120km/h on the first lane on AYE in the day!

 

I felt great but I hope I won't do it again and get addicted to it!

only? hahaha SP rider Sp rider didn't you know your bike is capable of going 180? but kids don't try this at home.

Today while riding , i was on lane 3 as usual.. Not many bikes or cars around on d expressway.. got this guy on a suzuki bike.. only managed to catch d model.. it was kinda big n yellow in color.. dunno hw many cc or wat lah.. when he pass by me.. he was on lane 1.. suddenly i heard like one loud sound and i freaked out n ever since my heart was beating fast till i get off the bike.. he actually opened his throttle or played wit it or watever and created dat loud sound wen passin by me and den zoomed off.. it was so scary i tell u..

While on the way to Paya Lebar, the normal route that need to pass by Levander... One yellow RXZ Rider ride up and same speed as mine and stare at me and my bike... slowly he open and close his gas... Like wan to speed with me... aiyoyo... Yes, due to the chemical composition of the fuel. Sg petrol is "purer" and provides better combustion, hence higher fuel comsumption.

M'sia petrol is of a slightly lower grade as compared.

There are pros and cons of both fuel and I think there is a thread in this forum that provides the detailed breakdown of the fuel composition. Can try searching for it.

 

Personally, after 5-10 refuels of M'sia petrol, I will do 1 Sg petrol, as the "purer" form of Sg petrol helps to "clean" my engine of some of the impurity deposits.
