Anyone here changes EO at ah boy's workshop?

What is the usual price + labour?

I went there today to change, along with footpegs. Only charged $4 for labour n $9 for 1l of EO. The mechs were not so busy n were v nice. Got live karaoke in the workshop. upp man.

Btw to answer my own post earlier,

@LAB

- Cost of a complete set of Front foot pegs is at $40+ per side.

- Cost of just the rubber (per side) = $5

- Cost of the metal base plate (per side) = $11

- Cost of eagle foot rest (if u buy more, if not up to 30) = $25

bros, my phantom is leaking engine oil. There are oil stains at the screws of the engine.. Used to be very very little, barely noticeable.. but seems to be slightly more now cos I just wash bike over the weekend & already notice it today.

I asked ah koon some time back n he said its due the rubber sealing wear & tear and cant do anything abt it. Is that right? Or can it be fixed?

chain slack is needed..about an inch or so... please check your manual for rec slack (some bikes have it on the chain guard)...this is to accomodate the swing arm motion..if there is little/insufficient slack the chain may snap..

the effect of a tight chain is lost of power and accelerated wear on the chain/sprockets...

get it corrected asap...:cheeky:

Those parts become greasy abt 1 week after last wash.. there's no noticeable oil drippings at the place I park though.. & I start to see drop in EO level after abt slightly less then 1000km of riding

Kzone have you had the cam chain tensioner replaced by your photos it looks like its coming out from the starter motor.

They have to take the starter motor off when they do the job and if not put back properly you get the symptoms you are describing .

The oil will seep out of the seal and slowly make its way to the places you highlighted in the photos

Not sure if the previous owner did but I didnt. But I did had the piston replaced though... about 6 mths back. So its prob due to poor workmanship? Planet can solve this as well?

Never been to planet as its not as convenient for me compared to Redhill but will find time to do so if its really cos of workmanship problems with Redhill.
