gsr400 dry weight is heavier than s4. the "lightness" u describe is the handling and steering.

yup!!! GSR400 indeeds feel very light for me comparing to s4 in driving center... the handling and steering is superb... really good for new 2A riders... i fully recommend this cool bike!!!~~~ :lovestruck:

performance wise no much difference .. both 400cc how much can the difference be ?

Mainly juz the looks .. Super4 juz got way more mods available ..

Underseat Compartment for GSR smaller den S4's ..

S4 can put raincoat , toolkit , chainlube , cloth ,insurance , parking coupons.. that for me la .. haha ..

My advise go for one that is ur budget , ur prefered look of a bike (as u gonna ride it for quite sometime) ..

An Ah Pek riding S4 in my area told me this : "Any bikes can look pretty. Depends on the owner if he/she willing to spend. Kapchais can be fast too, depends on the rider if he/she got the balls to do so."

As the debate goes on, some choose to side with S4 bcos of parts, good look with box bla bla. Same also with GSR bcos of its futuristic looks or whatsoever that I might missed out in comparison on both bikes. Some say, Super 4 looks boring. Who says? There are a couple of Super 4s that I've seen that are very pretty & armed to the teeth with loads of accessories. There's once I've seen a blue GSR at Yishun with a lot of scratches so does that justify as a nice looking bike? No what. Same goes for their speed. Both at 400. Might as well include RVF in the picture also.

What I say strictly no offence to any riders S4, GSR whatsoever.

Point is, buy what you like & you will see less of its flaws. And please when you made your choice, make the best out of it. A friend I know who rode a CBR600 totally changed when his bestfriend criticised negatively about that bike commenting that my friend should have gotten an R6 instead. Is this how best friends should be?

I used to ride Spec 3 & currently GSR600 so I believe I have my own strong points regarding both bikes.

Cheers!

hmm.. I think different bike suits different individuals. Sometimes it's like comparing Nike, Addidas and Reebok.. lolx..

I personally think if you are the size of Caucasians, then I think GSR400 should be more suitable. Actually GSR400 is designed for Caucasians in Japan.

Very true... Different tongues got different taste... I hate durians! No offence... Its just me...

Seriously dude.... I have no detailed idea but from my understanding its just a pre-emptive sensor that prevents your wheels from "locking up" under sudden hard braking conditions which usually resulted in skidding. Just my layman term of ABS. I may be wrong though...

Maybe u should pop in the GSR thread ask the riders?

No need to compare GSR with S4 as both with same power but with better handling and a better rider, it beats S4 flat!!

09 model confirmed more powerful than s4.

anyway, i miss wildcard.

GSR styling still consider the best in 2A cat.

Does it comes with a gear indicator?

If GSR headlight, rear light goes for another round of design would like it more...

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

i was riding a spec 3 before changing to gsr. as a rider both bikes feel similar, no issues for the underseat exhaust. as for a pillion, no complains too.

crashbar yes i've seen before. but didnt manage to find where's selling, maybe custom moulded?

Hello... For Those who wants to buy these S4 or GSR, 2A bike CAT....

1) GSR - Suzuki the engine tends to rough all the way... i mean really from startin the engine.. till u max it out still the rough/coarse sound is still there...So far i tried Leo Vince & Yoshimura exhausts... to me Yoshi sounded better...but torque Leo Vince Has it...Well,i liked yoshi sound very bassfull its also very stylish...but up to its rider's choice...if u wanna have a drag race against Honda S4, this is true... - S4 will win... GSR is big more bolder looking...i liked this bike bcoz itz monster looking and customizable with aftermarket parts...The height also taller than super four, the tyres are bigger too...if stand side by side... i strongly say GSR looks more fierce but lack of power...itz for those who loves big bikes... Price is the same... unless u kena con... some shops say S4 more X$X$X... Some say GSR X$X$X...too... so,scouting is good... so far Bt Merah opp Queensway Shopping Cntr, has lotz of GSR's...

2) S4 - Honda always has its engine made to last for a long time as it torque kicks in at high revs or 6-7rpm... i've tried Yoshi and Scorpion, but yoshi still wins it bassfull sound... try looking for carbon tip yoshi...cool... Well u also can try blueflame pipes... 2 holes...cool... What can i say about this bike, Parts are way cheaper than GSR, Tyres,Servicing,Mods are way budget than GSR... But GSR wins it looks for damn sure... S4 is lighter compared to GSR... maybe bcoz of its tank & tires... Auntie shop,Lim Ah-boy,219,HKL,Unique... are the most frequent places visited by S4 riders...You can custom this bike like crazy till ur money giga drains out...

Verdict: if u want to look good on the road - Try Suzuki GSR...

if u juz want cheap mods/maintenace/parts, soon upgrading to Class 2, Honda S4 should be a better choice...

---Actually these two bikes are nice but S4 is common..whereby GSR is new..---

Hey who say GSR4 will lose to super 4.have u ever try?HAHA it all depands on the rider in fact. and try play corner see who better LOl. dun forget S4 is double suspension, while gsr is single(more to sports)... But then is again up to the rider. must see whose Balls bigger at the end of the day will win ba :) LOL Cheers Guys

if we're talking about stock i have to agree with you bro. =)

i just like the single shock the GSR have to offer oh not not forgettin the 180 rear!..defiantly way better then the s4.

but guys, if you're willing to spend of cos you'll archive better results =)

at the end of the day it's up for individuals i guess.

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different
