wear a rain pants over the skirt so wearing of skirt or no skirt is not an issue...

 

 

anyway, choose a practical bike instead of ur dream bike... i like sportsbike of all classes but end up i choose a street bike to ride. y? cos can install box n sportsbike? i'm gonna b killed by the sport bikers if i install box on a sport bike....

IMHO, wearing a skirt to ride/pilion is not very advisable in terms of "skin damage" upon the unexpected.

Classic example 1 :-

I experienced way back in 2000 when ridding in singlet, bermudas & slippers on a slow FZR150. 30kmh smack into a left car left me numerous abrasions.

Classic example 2 :-

Threw 1 glove into my box when i dropped 1 side while walking down my block. Had a self skid (was sway enough my rear tire landed on a tiny trail of very dried oil) at 40kmh accelerating on a round-about left my palms badly brazed. Can't work, can't write, can't type.

It takes certain bad days to realize importance in riding attire. Gloves is now a compulsory item whenever I ride. Sports attire (singlet/shorts) is always in my bag, to be changed on reaching sport locations.

 

Riding with least then appropiate attire to ride/pillion is more equivalent to taking a gamble on areas which is deemed important for daily lives---> Visual external skin damage in the case for ladies.

if u seriously want to ride a sportbike like sp with skirt on, buy those strap on pants. i believe those are being sold.

Judging from the advise u guys have given, i guess i'll have to stick to a skipper. Anyway, I don't think I'll be wearing skirts when riding. I guess I'll have to let my boss know that I'll be wearing jeans all the time. Actually I don't work in the CBD area but dunno why my boss come up with the stupid area that we cannot wear jeans. Kinda weird rite? haha...

 

I think I'll settle down for a TZM..

 

Just finished another practical lesson today and I've turned into a two shaded weirdo already...*sobs*

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

Hey guys,

 

I'm taking my Class 2b right now and i'm already worrying abt wad kinda bike i should get.

 

I'm standing at abt 1.7m and am of medium build. A instructor at SSDC once joked that the bike looks like a bicycle with me riding it!

 

I need a bike to commute to work and back and i don't wanna get one thats clutchless coz i'm dreaming of owning a ST11 one day and i fear that riding a clutchless bike will make me forget how to ride a manual one when i got for my class 2a a yr later.

 

Most of my guy frens recommended the scrambler but i'm a office worker and i do wear skirts sometimes so the scrambler is definitely out...help me out here guys!

 

I myself rode a honda wave 125 clutchless for a year, then took my class 2A. No probs there. Just focus, that's all. u can do it

whoa talk so much end up she also buy sports bike.. some more is 2B's fastest bike.. :bounce: TS i suggest you just settle for a vespa.. its cute too.. :)

which bike and what bike, have you check what is the insurance for the difference type of bike, cos you're a new rider the insurance for scooter and sport bike are very muck difference too, why care what others say, buy what you can and what you like

1 more point to note is the affordability of the bike... petrol prices is high n with ur age, insurance is high as well esp for faring bikes. not forgetting maintenance too. choose a bike wisely n not straining ur pocket.

keke...i dont need to worry abt insurance de wor...i work in a vehicle insurance company and i can get discounts for my insurance de. my lady boss support me to take bike also. haha...u guys can come to me if u need to do ur insurance also wor...:cheeky:

hi how heavy are u? are u those kinda of big sized girls or wat? im 1.60m and weigh 48kg. riding scooter.

 

i have seen those big size heavy weight girls riding NSR SP or kips. i always from behind see how badly compressed are their rear suspensions :cheeky: poor bikes. and they look very funny n quite ugly. big big on small bike. cant move off fast

 

in my opinion, u can ride a scooter, also convenient. i also wear skirt ride to work almost everyday :cheeky:

the TZM looks damn cool lah. i hope it isnt as noisy as the SP coz i find it really too noisy when i rode pillion on my fren's bike the last time.
