Hi,

Any of you Revorians encounter sticky throttle before? The situation is if I leave the bike for a few hours and especially so during overnight, the next morning when opening the throttle, it will be sticky and need to use a bit of force to first rotate the throttle handle. Thereafter, it'll be okay until the throttle is left untouched again for a few hours or more.

I found that it's caused by the sticky oil residue on the butterfly valves in the throttle body. I had used the THREEBOND throttle body cleaner to spray onto the throttle body just before the butterfly valves. The sticky oil residue was then dissolved, but the symptom will return again after about 10k km. I have also noticed that this sticky oil residue is coming from the breather tube leading into the airbox. Any way to modify this breather tube?

Hi guys,

Have a strange high pitch "hieeeee" sound at the front area in between the meter and the tank. Its constant and doesn't change with throttling. Just noticed it a few days ago... can't seem to find the thing making that sound... anyone had experienced with this type of sound?

Fuel pump also doesn't have the same sound... and i can only hear it from above the tank. Once below it kinda disappear...

Coolant fan works... and everything seems normal on the bike...

Any advise? Thanks!!!

Hello all and good day to you. I REALLY need to buy new ignition coils for my 2009 CB 400 NC 42. After driving my motorcycle whenever I turn it off, I will get a HISS problem where my keys are not recognized and the bike won't start. I made new keys thinking the chips were still bad. I was going to buy a new hiss antenna, however I have found posts on other websites where someone had the same problem as me. Here is the thread.

https://netrider.net.au/threads/trouble-starting-cb400.128124/

The coil Brand is Tec and the model is MP10, made in japan. I have seen used ones for sale on eBay, however I want to buy two NEW coils. I have no idea what I should do and or what other aftermarket ones are compatible. Does anyone know what route I should take? Thank you all so much in advance for your help!!!

Been looking at Dunlop grp200. Any reviews so far?

I'm more concern about the grip in dry and wet roads.

Thanks in advance =)

Hi guys.

My orange pgm-fi light (top-left) lighted up while on the road recently and gives 8 blinks, which indicate that the problem is the Throttle Position Sensor (tps). Its idling is very low while on stationary and my voltage will drop if I let it be. Other than that, everything seems normal. Haven't notice on the fuel consumption yet as this problem is new.

I've send it to Republic Motor, they serviced it, no parts change/replace. 4 days later, the problem came back.

The option given to me by another shop was to either;

(1) replace it with a local tps but the bike will not have the same performance

(2) replace the whole throttle body which will cost a fortune.

Looking through this Revo forum, the older posts from 2012 - 2014 said that changing it to after market tps will solve it, while the more recent posts mentioned that the problem lies somewhere else. How did you guys get it fix?

Thank you.

Guys, I am currently riding a spec 3 cb400 (carb). What is the difference between a revo and a spec 3 in terms of riding comfort and speed other than carburetor and fuel injection.

Is it wise to make a switch- from spec 3 to revo.. comtempating to change to a new cb400 revo but juz the thougt of opening a new book of instalment turns me off.. :giddy:

Fyi; vtec 3 renewed coe now expire at year 2025 + recently juz did valve clearance at brother beng..

I am currently riding spec 2 cb400 carb coe till 2023. I am also upgrading the bike to a new cb400 revo...

I wanted to keep the spec 2 cb400 but the laggy gear 1 to gear 2 problem bugs me at every traffic light. I had tried dynojet, service carb, change magnetic coil... problem improve but still laggy at times.. My friend with a revo tried my bike and commented yes a lag at the start. I tried his revo and boy is so much better... but this is my own experience...

just curious...what tyres have u tried b4?...if you are looking for tyres which grip and work well in both dry and wet and reasonably high mileage....you should look at sport touring tyres.....if money is no problem...well michelin pilot road 4 would be great...but if you got budget ..tyres such as .michelin pilot road 3 and Metzeler roadtec z8 works equally well....loook up best sport touring tyres for wet conditions....but you have to try it....personally i am using pr3 at the moment....and have just changed the rear as the front thread thickness is still thick....cheers...

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

just a suggestion....wait and change to a class 2 600 to 700cc bike....insurance is below 250 if ur above 32....and road tax is reasonable...and oh yes...your torque is definitely much stronger than a revo..cheers

Maybe he means newer models in the 400cc category, like the 400F, 400X and CBR400, which are 2 cylinder 400cc bikes.
