but i tink e v-tec controller, is 2 switch off e v-tec kick in time.

eg. rpm 6.75 v-tec kicks in. i switch off e v-tec. it wun kick in. N not when i on e v-tec, it reaches e certain rpm which is setted will kick in.

Hi guys....here are some info that I've found that compare between spec2 and spec3 on the vtec...

In January 2002, HYPER VTEC evolved into Spec II aiming at letting everybody actually feel the power drive over the entire ranges. As one of the aims of Spec II development, it can be pointed out that the CB400 SUPER FOUR, the model on which the system was installed, is the one having a wide user class. There were voices to point out that beginners, in particular, were unable to fully utilize the four-valve stage from above the revolution range of 6,700. The development team then developed HYPER VTEC SPEC II anew to enable many more users to enjoy the four-valve stage of HYPER VTEC.

SPEC II achieved increasing torque in the middle speed range and smoother power by refining the valve timing, inteke and exhaust systems, and the valve switchover timing revolution from two to four valves was changed from 6,750rpm to 6,300rpm. It has resulted in powerful and sporty engines, enabling one to actually feel VTEC in all driving ranges from low to top. In December 2003, SPEC III was introduced. The switchover timing for a 6 speed only was changed from 6,300rpm to 6,750rpm to improve fuel consumption in cruising over high speed roads without spoiling the cheerful drive.

if vtec 3 struggling with power, vtec 2 open too early (6250rpm around 100Km) than vtec 1 if you ride slowly vtec not open less on fuel, and when you push it over 7000rpm the power kick in just nice going at more than 110KM

EFI and ABS.. Thats what I thought best too.. But if EFI is good, why more and more GXR riders selling their bikes? Hmm.. GXR using EFI too....... No doubt ABS is useful, BUT, ABS spoil, ur brain also can spoil MORE MONEY TO SPENT! Hahaha..

To me, CB400 SPEC III THE BEST! Kekekekeke..

Ride On.

"ABS"....mannn!!!...I don't really want it. Have to say that its is really really good only when you have to brake hard at bends especially on web or moist road condition..otherwise, if you are avoiding a front to back hit accident...you would know the definition of "ABS" in hokkien stands for..."Auntchua Bouy Stop!"...BAMMM!

Stupid Hurts!.:giddy:Speed doesn't kill, mistakes does :faint:

BEER!...it's cheaper than fuel now! DRINK!..DON'T RIDE!

i try friend VtecIII. well it kinda smooth and light on the pick up. but when open Vtec hor the FC is like DRINK WATER liao.. i own Ver S, it a relax bike not so much of eletronice thing, not much of excitment, point to point only. lastly to me is Non-Vtec and Vtec are the same. engine concept the same.. just the eletronice make the diff, and Vtec open pump more petrol in to the engine. if non-vtec like Vtec pump alot petrol into the engine at tat timing i think both will be the same power ba.

i think all S4 got pro and con. so all r good to me man. cool long life CB400.
