yo bro's here just wanted to ask if KRR FU plate selling for 2.6k is cheap

coz i enquired at this motortiam everything OTR is about 3.4K im not new rider, planning to change from phantom to KRR coz i wanna get the feel of owning a sportsbike.

and wat are the things to look for in KRR uh?

so bro's here got any inputs and advice for me?coz i got no frens ride KRR,tot of asking someone here wat a decent KRR is like coz i know a good KRR is hard to find

hey bro try enquire at different bike shops.. maybe u can get a better plate for that price,or maybe $100 - $200 higher.. but i guess 2.6k for a FU plate shld be ok.. dun noe bout e others though..:cheeky: if it's a trouble for u, getting help from some experienced KR riders here is e best alternative.. there r plenty of them here..:thumb:

basically i would say it's actually e same thing u would look out for when u 1st bought ur phantom bike.. oh n it really is damn hard to get a 2nd hand decent KR.. there will always be something wating to happen from this bikes.. if u really want a decent bike, getting a 1st hand would solve all ur problems..:D hope this helps and all e best for ur search n... welcome to e KR world!:thumb:

well bro for e price of full servicing, basically different bike shops give different prices.. therefore it's hard to give u e actual price.. i suggest it would be better if u stick to ur mech who handles ur phantom before.. but that is, if he has e knowledge for KR..:cheeky: if he has, shouldn't be a problem bro.. in fact u'll learn alot from him.. just don't stop bombarding him with ques..:D

for changing of parts basically there's nothing to change unless there's a need to.. for eg. illegal mods, wear of parts , damaged/spoilt parts n so on n on...:faint: as u r already a rider, than i don't think should be alot of problem for u.. u already has e basic knowledge..:thumb: anyways for tyres alot of them here recommends Bridgestone's Battlax tyres (BT39ss).. it was said to be e best, especially corners..:cheeky: but there's also Dunlop TT900 n TT900Gp which can give u distance wif it.. i'll try n look for u e previous post one of fellow KRians has posted regarding e specs of different tyres..:thumb:

Tires:

TT900GP gd for distance, BT39 gd for cornering, TT900 not so lasting as TT900GP.

Got metzeler but i not sure gd or not.

usually ppl put TT900 90/80 front, 90/80 rear for pick up.

120/80 for stability.

BT39 ppl usually put 90/80 front, 90/80 rear for pick up.

110/70 rear for better cornering.

metzeler ppl put 90/80 front, 130/80 rear, gd or not i dunno.

Using Pilot sporty now, front 90/80, rear 100/80, dry weather very gd, wet weather when lane splitting abit unstable.

Proven by phase_one & me.

yo bro's here just wanted to ask if KRR FU plate selling for 2.6k is cheap

Dunno bout the mototiam market.. maybe "cheap" for shops, but for forum price, 2.6k for fu plate is very steep..

kr is a good bike, can't think of a problem the bike has. Altho I feel kr can be a pain in the arse to start early in the morning (two stroke mah). But look out for the kr fuel meter.. most of the time, it doesn't work. If it does, it tend to be inaccurate. As for me, i juz open the tank and see. More accurate this way. :thumb:

Shops tend to sell "re-build" krr's.. meaning ah bengs and mats who juz wrecked their kr will just sell it off for $800 to $1000 and the shop will rebuild it with 2nd hand parts and a fresh coat of paint. FU plate very hard to find good condition in shops oready, if it is, it's probably rebuilt...

thanks a lot for the info, and yeah about sticking to my mech, erm well might be coz wanna get to know more about other motortiams and other mechs:cheeky: networking mah :cheeky:

well am still under the planning process of changing bike, not sure want to take KR or not coz was told by the motortiam after buying bike must send for full servicing first,

but funny thing is when i ask wat to service they say everything! wat like that better if buy a 2nd bike in forum then send for servicing sia much cheaper!

well i told them to name me the parts and pricing since i know about basic parts of bike n prices from my experience on riding a phantom but they say must open bike first then see see.:cheeky: [potential carrot i am i think]:cheeky:

oh yeah bro's forgot to ask other than hard to start in the morning for KRR wat other problems can any bro's here point out thats common among KRR?

and is the fuel indicator in KRR repairable? how much would it cost?:cheeky:

If you got the $$..Then by all means..Most bikes are ridable for a few mths before they need servicin..BUt then again..You'll have to slowly find one that is..:cheeky:

hey it would be better if u stick to 1 mech though.. it's recommended by lots of fellow bikers..:cheeky: well basically it's better to go for full servicing after u take out ur bike, as there's a huge possibility that the bike shop didn't even do a full servicing before handing e keys to u..:giddy: n yeah they do need to take out e whole thing to see if there's any damages/mods to the inside, but if u get a very gd mech who has excellence skill in KR, i guess he only needs to hear the sound of ur bike to rectify e problem..! :cheeky: usually alot of problems can be seen after they do full servicing bro.. yeah buying a bike is pricely, but getting it repaired n pampering it might cost u a bomb if u don't really understand it..:cheeky: anyways bout the early morning hard to start thing, i guess that's e only problem u'll encounter.. but if e previous were to did any sort of mods before to the bike, then that's a different story..:faint: goody luck!
