i got several qns siol. just changed to kr, previously riding sp. My choke right have to hold it to choke the engine, otherwise it wont choke, basically it means the choke lever if loose. any solutions? anyway wanna ask is my kr can only up till 140km/hr, difficult to go up alr. suggestions? tuning or what? you or your friend got do mod? contact me straight at 94240920. Your choke system is the main culprit. Have this service or change and your speed will be back to normal.KRR can whack up to 200km/h. Its something like have choke activated but physically its not.

got money to port block and carb then should have money to change sprocket la. maybe ask him put 14/42. haha. kids nowadays rich. can ask him to change chain to lighter one. spooks. chamber. take away side fairing. then jackpot bike come out liao lor. haha.

 

change what jet? fuel jet? i alr changed the sprocket alr, to the high end 37 or 38 forgot alr. what else need to be done? =(

1) check the choke.. might be leaking as you mentioned very soft..

2) lower fuel jet by 10 to 260.. air jet increase or maintain..

sprocket ok.. but.. 15/37? isn't it able draggy? anyway, clean your valve also.. that should be enough liaoz ah..

then do you sayang yourself? low speed or high speed accident more pain? haha. get your gears before you consider any other things. you can buy new bike. but your parents cant buy a new you.

bring to bike shop and they will do the setting accordingly wats fuel jet btw? you might want to ask adesmond or sparker or derfuher for more info. my knowledge is limited. sorry.

Insurance-wise...don't think got much difference. Can try Ubi, Kaki Bukit, Toh Guan...got many bike shops in Sg. Check out the directory on this forum and give them a call first maybe.

lolx.. I only go to one shop in SG to service.. that's planet.. bike down on sunday, also wait till monday to do.. because no other shop can offer me what that shop offer me.. *honesty..

pricing average or sometimes slightly higher abit..

 

Planet is great...unfortunately there is a lack ( no real competition ) of other honest & good shops like planet...so it is macam the "all of sg" go there...Planet has become a "victim of it's own success"...grrrr...

 

"honesty" & "skill" & "service" together are d*** hard to find in sg.

 

seriously, it has turn to a case of "i want to go but i can't afford the TIME" now...

ALWAYS BE ON YOUR GUARD. I have become cynical over the years.

 

many shops will "chop" first talk later. Some cannot even do a proper job. When you finally found that 1 mechanic that is "good", their boss will then "chop" you ( your favourite mechanic will just keep quiet to keep his job cause he has to agreed with his boss ) like the 4th time you visit ( 1st few times, the boss will slyly win your trust, after that he will "chop" you big time, some are even famous "brand name" shops i won't name to avoid trouble here ).

 

now i already "heart die" & "see open" already...

 

if you are lucky enough to find exceptions to my cynical view, do share with us kr bros...

Good evening to all bros here.. im here in need of some advice and suggestions. Im currently riding a FV plate KR for arnd 8 months. bought it on new years day at Heng Motors for $3.5k cash which is said COE will be renewed another 10years as e bike COE will be ending this coming 2012. This bike is used for occasionally riding as I was driving before but just sold off my car..haha..so im travelling more on bike now and plus i just got another job there will be more travelling. I am planning to sell off this bike of mine and get a cub like X1R or spark cause can put box and basket..easy to commute around..

The question is when i went down to heng motor just now, they sort of cant put a price on my bike as i mentioned Ive paid full cash and agreement was the bike COE will be renewed..I enquired on a price of a 2nd hand X1R with 8 years COE and he quoted me 3k plus after trade in. I have no idea how much are X1R and spark prices range. hope u guys can advise.

He told me he'll call me within 2 days but i have a feeling the call will nv come.. can bros here put a price range how much it will be to sell off/trade in with bike shop? Thank You in advance bros for your inputs and suggestion..
