Hi everyone! I just bought a KRR, even though I thought I was going to buy an NSR. Sweet little bike.

 

With so many pages in this thread, and a crap search facility, I need your help. Where is the best place to get my bike serviced near Ang Mo Kio? Or anywhere?

 

I also need tyres, and don't know what the best or original size is. Any help?

 

Does anyone have a better manual than the one with the crap at the bottom?

 

Any other tips or advice?

i didn't on choke that time. you must kick many many many times. not 1 or 2 times only. for me i kick about 20-30 times? ignition on, fuel cock off, twist your throttle fully and hold it there then keep kicking. slowly you will hear the coil sound. jiayou jiayou! please don't kick until you cannot walk. if still cannot means its other problems and that one have to ask more experienced people. like adesmond2 or blacksun. i'm still p-plate.

if overflow then you cannot on your fuel any more. the small silver lever at the left side of your bike near the tank. keep it at 9 o'clock. that is off. 6 o'clock is on (main) and 12 o'clock is also on, but reserve. i don't know about the choke. i think you should off your light so that it helps the bike to start by consuming less battery first. haha thank you. me go sleep, i need to wake up at 6am for school.

hey guys i jus sold my bike and gettin a kr soon. you all recommend me to go for full service or overhual? the bike is a fw plate meaning 8 years and has been layout for around 1 to 2 months. if i were to do overhual meaning i don need to waste $$$ on full service alr. suggestions bros?

 

think top service enough alr? then if got any problem they will tell you one. but must go to those reputable bike shops? yup/

i suspect ur spark plug to wet ready. u can either off ur fuel cock, on ur ignition, choke off and kick ur way to start. or change spark plug. by right a carb should not over flow, just because u leave ur fuel cock on doesnt mean will overflow. its ur carb thats actually overflowing and it is because ur float valve is spoilt of incorrectly adjusted. if this happens too often get ur carb adjusted.

Hi guys.. prob for my Speed ok alr..Tried whacking today at midnight no traffic otw home.Went above 120 successfully. SHop mechanic told me he changed carb pipe or smtg pipe? Told me it was kind of preventing the petrol from flowing.

Anyway shittt.....otw home from AYE...I FORGOT..got speed limit camera...heading towards bkt merah...(Was around NUH there ) so when i saw the "slow down speed camera ahead" sign i slowed down but too dark cant see speed camera to knw the exact spot ... then after a long distance i sped up again knowing that there's no more speed camera alr .

Jia lat.. is there a chance i could have not been taken? Cos i slow down upon seeing slow down sign How much if fine ?

b4 change the speed gear hub at the front rim=rpm7=120km/130km(4got)

after changed become rpm7=90km/100km

for me i cant follow this rule.

so better check/compare with car or other bike (like Tik R1:P)(TIK joking only,scare misunderstanding)

 

lolx.. yup yup.. our speedo has a differences estimated 10~30km/h. depending on each bikes..

Example:

I'm riding at 70km/h(digital) KPE maintain all the way, my speedo show 80km/h (10km/h diff)

But.. my friend who is riding next to me.. show me his speedo (analog) 100km/h (30km/h diff)

of cuz.. I ride until 140km/h (analog), digital only show 11x - 120... that's a huge diff... the higher your speed.. the more diff it is..

Coz I usually speed past it at 120. Sometimes at 140. Unless my speedo has error of 30-50km/hr.

Did you leave your fuel cock on all the way? If spark plug wet/fouled also cannot pushstart....

 

then what would be the alternative solution? to change a spark plug?

 

take out plug see got wet or not first

put new plug off fuel n kick start,save tow $!

after that need to reset carb

if not will wet/fouled plug again!

don't waste $. this happened to me also. for me, i left my cock on. you off your cock and on your ignition, twist the throttle fully and keep kicking until it start. it is important to off your cock before doing that otherwise your carburetor will continue to overflow. hope your bike can start.

btw, guys i have an issue. i tried my kr this afternoon. not yet full trottle can go 150 with ease but after i went in msia to clear 2T carbon in my pipe. after that i come back sg full throttle top speed 120 only leh. how sia guys? my wiring got abit problem netral light keep on and signal light won't blink. planning to rewire them. but will wiring problem affect my top speed? thanks!
