Like pufferfis said...the standard bulbs are change to led type but for my case...it is more than that. The whole meter are dismantled into their individual pieces and ribbon led circuit are place at the right place. Some soldering works are required. Require some patient and knowhowbut you can blow fuse too...ha.....x3! I don't think any mototiam will go to that extend of doing it lah...if they do..its not going to be cheap. You have to provide the right stuff to them in the first place. Anyway...PM me if you are interested.

If you guys are for it..I will have to buy the necessary ribbon type LEDs and get the soldering done. Once all this is prepare..the rest of the job is to dismantle your meter to pieces and set the lighting at the right place..total time taken should be less than two hours the most if all items are prepared..two bikes at the same time..cost about $60 - $70 (six leds per meter housing..all small bulbs replace with to flat leds type..) all in.

PM if you guys are interested.

 Ha...x3!...mine was like that too..not a torchlite...but a SPOTlite mannn! I read about ppl using T10 etc..but upon seeing the catual stuff...just knew it would not work that well but at least btter than what is original.

Ok..if you are in for it..you guys work out a date and I make it possible for you. Anytime...even in the evening after your work also no problem. I'm in AMK Ave 10 vicinity. We DIY under the void deck away from the rain if it does. You guys confirm and I go get the stuff and make it as a "kit" form and let you all hands on if you want too. Its fun and faster that way and you can do it for anyone else in the near future. How about it?

Please let me know at least two days ahead.:)

hi all.. need a little bit of help

after a drop at AYE that time... i notice that my front fork or wheel or wherever at the front.. a little bit jerkky... i try it on a straight road... also a little bit jerkky...

and i found that my throttle cable got cuts....

could it be the cuts causing the problem??? or beering? or wheel balancing?? or need to service fork?

I guess you pretty much identified all the possibilities..but your definition for "jerky" is not clear to me to understand better.

Jerky as in..forward backward in short movement as if there is no petrol coming in when you throttle?..could be your throttle cable is kink at the damage poit and is not pulling at your carbs properly.

If for front wheel bearing..normally at certainly speed, you would feel wobble..if its cone bearing, you do feel wobble too and slight nothing noise when you brake forward or start/stop. Wheel balancing would give you the wobble at certain speed and beyond too. Check if there is any "weight" missing on your rim.

If you agve fork brace..take it off and ride for awhile without it..see if things are the same..if it is, can only thing of your thrittle cable itself or even the "running" inside your cable throotle control housing. Hope nothing get jolted inside your carbs though. How hard is the falla nd in which manner?

Keep us poted what is your progress.

i also guessing that is it the throttle cable that can't pull my carb properly... next servicing then go change throttle cable..

Thanks rayhunter :) Not sure about starting a list...afterward kana buang by moderator I die..don't want to be seen like making business out of the forum. Just know that mototiam don't do this and if they do..the mech suffer and the boss charge you like you buying air ticket to Paris like that....LOL! PM is better lah..ok, those want..like Smiley73 like that..PM me for my contact.

ver s welcum to change the lights ??

Hi xkiss..should be no problem la..Version S, R or just any other non vtec meter are somewhat very similar..just the colour of scale reading is in red. I recommend everyone to use white though...its the brightness and blend neturally to all tinted scale marking..PB1 is green.

I'll be tsting one extra installation on the fuel gauge part..using a different colour and see how it fare..blue should be neat :)

My concern for all this kind of installatio work is all your extras..like "Sai_Tow"..etc..this are the things that stall time. I have to have the headlamp off..access to the wring for the meter, meter has to be totally out and dismantle into individual pieces to do a good lite setting. Do bring along any SPECIAL tools your sai_tow uses or for any gadgets that you guys have added to your stock bike. Can save lots of time.
