ahpek! issit normal for my version s after abit of warm up, i rev and let go of the throttle and just as the rpm reaches the idling part it sounds like its going to stall. but just for a second.

the dip stick is part of the engine oil screw cap, on the right side. for accurate reading, the bike should be upright

 

so how to know if engine oil is sufficient if looking at the dip stick?

Same problem bro! I am planning to do carbs balancing and tuning. Hopefully, this can solve the problems. If not then I think some of the needle in the carbs needs to be changed. It might also be due to the plugs, so I guess we better check properly eh bro. Cheers!

Hmm.. If 3/4 of the stick is coated with oil, I think it should be fine. You need to worry if it is less than half.

If I'm not wrong, there should be two markers on dipstick, one indicating low and one indicating high. so long it's between the markers, it should be ok. but remember to let the oil 'settle down' and cool down a bit before measuring.

Subjective matter..can be other thinks like worn or crack rubber ducting between the carbs and engine block..can be your fuel hose leaking in air due to flaring at fuel cork insertion point..can be vaccum tube expanded at end too..can be air filter dirty..etc. b4 doing anything to ur carbs..do and idling adjustment first and make sure ur spark plugs and air filter is ok.

I won't know my friemd..its ur price and u can always name it. The important thing that buyer would look at is the condition of ur bike and the cOE values. Of course you ca take advantage of it since you have all the goodies and a well maintained bike.

Hmmm. I think I'm going back to Ah Fook. Recently, at cold start when I pushed the ignition got one explosion sound. Dunno where it came from but confirm not exhaust backfire. And since then, my bike abit hard to start in the cold morning.

Mr william, the other day when i wash carb the mechanic says the needle worn but i didnt change, he remove the washer or spacer from the needle, is it ok? Plus i wanted to change all the 4 rubber carb inlet but he says no stock, he also says tat it cost ard 28 per pc.. Is it normal price or over? Coz mine harden and if i manage to buy it at fjt or else wear can fit it for me or roughly do u knoe ah fook hav them? Thk u..

1. Radiator coolant hose corroded with rust thru out. Squeeze your rubber hose and see if its hard and has cracking sound.

2. The thermostat is valve gate is jammed liao.

3. Radiator fan switch may be out of commission.

4. Radiator coolant has too much ratio in water used..tap water which is bad.

5. Coolant pump jammed or has broken impeller blades.

Good thing u did not change. Can try Ah Fook..he can do it for u.
