Erm... i tink the fuel guage is not accurate at all. Its using that kind of ball float thingy inside... That means u tilt the bike to the right the fuel guage goes up, and as the bike gets older its not as accurate already, last time when i just got the bike, after travelling 150km from full tank, its showing reserve already. For tires... my personal opinion will be sportec M3, my friends are using it and i tink its quite lasting, get the 120 front and 150 rear... not bad, considering its at the range of $300 with very good grip and long lasting..

Bt Sportec M3 as I knw takes a longer time to warm up due to the thickness. so when go out i suggest better dun ride fast or corner 15km radius from ur home. My suggestion ah.

my ver s, starts giving this grinding feeling n sound at low gears n low rpm.. any idea why bros? is it related to clutch plate? gears? just wanna ensure what the prob might be. narrow it down to a few possibilities b4 i head down to bike shop. wouldnt wanna get fooled by the mechanic with false diagnosis.....

I am afraid the clutch plate are touching each other already. Perhaps you ask around those mech for their opinion as they are the one that know better. You dun just ask one mech...but many other mech and see what majority say. :) At least it give you some idea about your problem before you decide? Update us again.... I wan to know the answer too.

e top block was leaking (EO leak) & furthermore tis ver R is > 10yrs.1995 MAKE.

so wear n tear do occurs.might as well invest one time , use e bike till COE expire again n then sell off to my biker friend in KL or maybe Bangladesh.

So what was the total cost of the overhaul? Around 2K or more? My COE due in aug 08 and am planning to renew for another 10 years.... cos I cannot bear to leave my beloved version S. :)

i believe u can pump it more......especially if u keep e bike upright n pump it pump it to e brim...its easier if u got a mainstand like on a pb1...but hurry2 pay coz e petrol can overflow into ur overflow if u leave it off....i personally ever pump up to 19.3 litres so i believe most ver s n pb1 can fill until tt amt...n i tink u can pump 2 litres more

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

Hey bro.. Sorry for the late reply, came home late..

Oh for the fairings, i am using KTM 200..

Hmmm i suggest u surf around slackriders.com perhaps.

Or try your luck at the garage sale here.

Look for 2nd hand ones, cheaper that way.

A new one will cost near to a hundred?

You can get 2nd hand ones around $20-30.

What we did is we resprayed the fairings.

DIY fixing, u need appropriate screws, nuts as well as brackets for it.

There are a wide range of fairings for u to choose from.

Most popular are the KTMs as well as Honda CRF.
