Approximately $180 for my Shadow Aero 750. I'll be back in SG in 2 weeks time. I'll post more of the breakdown when I come back 'cos I need to check a few cost 1st.

For Harley, I was more. I don't remember now 'cos it's more than a year and also I'm trying not to miss the bike.

waiting patiently for your post ;D

Very sorry that this came late. I know the last day of this test is tomorrow, 'cos it's the last day of the year but I supposed even if I pay a bit for parking, won't make a significant change in the result.

http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i136/gohjohan/Shadow_750_2011_maintenance_cost-1.jpg

In case you can't read the image, I spent about $207.12 per month on my bike and traveled approx 13,169.20km. By right the mileage will be more tomorrow, but I think it's negligible 'cos what's wanted is how much I spent a month, on average.

The maintenance and labour is a lot more than expected 'cos of the $320 tire change and valve clearance that's due every 40,000km. Thankfully no need battery change if not, will be more

The toll at 2nd Link is roughly what I counted and with the exchange rate going up and down, I decided to round it up to S$41.

So, the next question on your mind is probably where did I go with the bike this year and how much can I push my $6.80 / day. Here we go

Malaysia

2 separate day trips to Malacca

1 overnight trip to Genting

1 overnight trip recently to KL for KL Bike Week

1 overnight trip going to Ayer Hitam, Batu Pahat & Tanjung Sutera (going through the old route number 1)

1 day trip to Desaru

Many more trips to GP & JB for bike wash, food and re-fuel.

Singapore

January was my part time job at Joo Seng and the remaining 2/3 of the year was my full time job in Shenton Way and doing despatch for my company when needed. In between, just about every week was nights out with my wife and meeting with different riders.

For Malaysia highways, my speed is between 90-110kph, on average. Obviously I don't speed 'cos beyond 110kph, the fuel consumption will be higher. Any more than 120kph, the consumption is a lot worse!

That's the summary of how much I spend on my bike, the Honda Shadow Aero VT750C.

I want to join the Frenzy!

Yamaha YBR125 (Monthly)

Monthly Installments: $0

Road Tax & Insurance: $34.50

Parking: $0

Petrol: $40

Maintenance (EO & Sparkplug): $4

Total Cost per month: $78.50

NB:

1. This calculation is a typical schooling month. 4 months in a year i do not go to school so theoretically, i spend only $20 on petrol, so if a average it out, i only spend about $71.

So expensive la sia!!!

If i take bus to school and back per month: $28.80

NB: Extra trips on the bike are NOT INCLUDED in the bus calculation above.

-------

48hrs travelling time on bike vs 120hrs traveling time in bus. Traveling time reduced by 60%. For me, it is worth the $50 spent extra per month.
