Two guys were roaring down the road on a motorcycle when the driver slowed up and pulled over.

His leather jacket had a broken zipper, and he told his friend, "I can't drive anymore with the air hitting me in the chest like that."

"Just put the jacket on backwards." His friend advised.

They continued down the road but around the next bend, they lost control and wiped out.

A nearby farmer came upon the accident and ran to call the police.

They asked him, "Are they showing any signs of life?"

"Well," the farmer explained, "the driver was until I turned his head around the right way!"

Grounded... :/

Why some riders reverse wear their jackets? This seems to be an all-time hidden mystery to the singapore riding scene.

I think this is quite an innovative way to solve several problems by our uncles during the earlier days:

1. Reverse the jacket and the jacket back acts as a wind deflector.

Think bike with no wind shield, ah pek who coughing problem :)

2. The long sleeve and the jacket back acts as a heat shield from the blazing afternoon sun.

3. Easy on-and-off.

Seems to me that it's their habit. Old school style!

Same goes for the mystery of why there are so many ah peks riding with their knees pointing outwards instead of hugging the tank.

no need to zip and yet wun be too cold from the wind..

if wearing the jacket the normal way, you dun zip up, it's gonna flap all over once you start moving.. and it ain't fun getting hit by it..

Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

something to do with aero dynamics n ease of use.

if u wear the jacket the normal way, air will enter from ur chin, flood the whole body n might unzip the jacket (if u dont zip all the way up).

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

try it yourself and know

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

thanks for the replies, the reason i ask is because my group in university might want to do a project to allow ppl to wear jackets the normal way. I personally wear it normally and dun find the problems that you guys mentioned, thats why i am curious why ppl wear it like tt. I tried wearing the other way reverse way before but the unzip ends keep flapping at the back and i was too distracted by it.

alamo.. a project to allow ppl to wear jackets the normal way ? the jackets ALREADY can be worn normally, it's the ah peks who choose to wear it the other way

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

try travelling on the expressway wearing the jacket the correct way and without zipping. hurts like a b**** to get hit by the flapping zips. and try wearing the jacket zipped up on a sunny day, the sweat on the back is damn gross

Just some simple common sense answer, its to cover up their exposed arms from the sun @ the same time not getting sweaty by wearing the jacket fully during the ride in this kind of sunny weather.

Wind does not go in and puff up the jacket. Because the back in unzipped
