ya correct bro i also heard hd battery is still the best...thou its pricey but if it last long y not..

 

Some company called East Penn Deka makes the batteries for HD. It has a Chinese language site, maybe someone can find out if well in SG? They sell for less than US$ in the states.

hmm with regards to battery, if the amps, voltage model number is same as original....

then it the same mate...

all goes for the bearings, fork seal, steering stems etc etc....

as long gt a sample any procificient mech can do it.....

most parts are comptiable just that when the agent put a chop on it ...

the pricing goes up ...lol

 

btw mates......

any idea about the cost of the front pulley system for the belt??

my front pulley is worn need replacement....

No luck... Only managed to find Yuasa YTX14-BS the polarity is oppsite...

The correct one is YTX14L-BS.

 

Tmr try again, if still can't find then no choice must go back to dealership liao...

apparently i could. was asked by derek at the service centre if i wanted to renew. 2 minor, 1 intermediate and 1 major service. while it is nice to have HD maintain the bike, just wondering if it is worth it. i know taking it to tony would be lots cheaper but i assume HD would do a thorough check of the bike...?

Don't think Choong Aik carries any as they want to keep all their helmets as road legal as possible. Not sure but was there last year and thats what they told me.

I have been a closet Harley fan for a long time but never gotten one until the XR1200 was produced. Finally a Harley that can stop and turn like a normal bike.

Its as heavy as a boat anchor though, and the suspension sucks big time, the engine heat roasts the inner thigh, the engine, though torquey runs out of breath quickly, and the top speed is only as fast as my scooter, but its a lot of fun to ride.

 

Rode it up Genting yesterday and met a couple of sportsbikes ridden by regular track day riders. Had a bit of fun with one of them.

I took my wife's sporty out for a spin on the weekend and in the process of making sure I was first away from the lights snapped the drivebelt. It's a 1200 with only about 25k klm on the clock. Anyone had this experience before?

Happened to me before and at least one other Sporty rider that I know. Similar mileage.

It puzzles me why they do not make the belts tougher so it can withstand any form of abuse I wanna put it through....
