Today I drove to work and was on PIE toward Changi airport. I saw a guy in full protective gear and FF helmet riding a SG plate sport bike. However, he was riding with just one hand. What an idiot! I thought only those JB plate bikers do such silly stunt.

No, nothing wrong with that. Please continue to do so if you have such habbit.

if nothing wrong why you call him idiot and silly stunt ? at least he bother to dress up full gear and FF, do you wear such ?

Then on the way home, at Mandai going towards Yishun, I witnessed an accident, a white car rear ended a blue subaru at a red light!

The Subaru was pretty badly dented, the entire number plate fly away! And the bumper go all the way in, if I am not wrong, the inside of the trunk will also be dent.

The Subaru was pushed all the way into the yellow box by the impact of the crash, since nobody was injuried and there was no space to reverse, the driver got no choice but to follow the green arrow and do a right turn before coming out of the car.

At first I wanted to zip away, since it's not my problem mah! But then you see my face like this===>

How can? Some more no one else stopped to offer help. So after I passed by the Subaru, I stopped a few metres infront of the car and gave the driver my number in case he needs a witness.

And for those who buy 4D one....

White car's plate number = 7829

Blue Subaru plate number =6692

See I so good!

Remember my face is like that one ===>

How can not be good right?

R u refering to the one happend at the cross junction at mandai road, yishun ave one and sem rd? And it happened sometime is the afternoon 3 plus?

I was gg home from sembawang road and there was a white car blocking the road at cross junction traffic light and when i turned into yishun ave 1, i saw a blue subaru with its boot dented in stopping at the road side.

Yap, that's the one.

White car was parked in center lane of Sembawang road, blue Subaru kena pushed into yellow box, so the driver turn right and park at the road side towards Yishun.

Just now while riding, saw KMjoe at the causeway customs.

Then on the way back, along Yishun ave 1, just after the accident spot, got a driver in a marron car cannot keep in lane, right wheel keep cutting into the right lane, I overtook him after the Yishun stadium and took a good look at him, he was trying to open his HP Cover @#$%^&!!!

Gave him a stare down, and he held the hp, look back at me and stop fiddling with the phone, but still holding on with it in 1 hand. :giddy:

Today while riding...

Initially coming from TPY about to enter PIE, but then saw the turn off for Upper thomson road, and the weather was perfectly beautiful, so okay...

Exited Thomson road, headed towards Upper... Ride down 70-80 all the way, traffic was light, and the sun was shining, bike was shiny.

Road towards the junction of Yishun Ave 1, and Mandai, the traffic light was red, so spontanously filter left into Mandai Road towards Woodlands road, again road was almost empty so just ride down visor up wind and sun in the face. Wonderful weather.

Went the whole stretch of Mandai Road before coming the junction of WOodlands Road, and then turned towards Johor.

Finally Rode down straight road again all the way, my beautiful iron horse growling steadily along all the way back to home at Marsiling.

What a beautiful day to ride.

Riding is love man...

Happy 2011

i don't know wtf are you talking about dude. I was commenting on this biker who rode with one hand. Did I compare him to drivers?

LOL, riding with one hand = idiots?

Then can you tell me what does all these means?

Driving Swaying like a snake within the same lane =

Driving and using handphone at the same time =

Driving, lane hog and refused to give way =

Driving in between two expressway lanes =

After being honked at, driver flashed high beam, keep on, sped up and tailgate =

Gezz..the list will go on. All i can say drivers are aint any better at all either.

Yesterday while driving, went to pick up Nix (also from SBF one) to go Ikea to buy things. Stopped a few metres behind the taxi stand while she come out of the library, so scared got auntie Fatimah or sister Mina see me. :help:

Then on the way to Ikea, on TPE under the flyover everyone suddenly E-brake!

Wah! Got 1 x white QX lurking under the bridge!

Luckily everyone alert! Nobody got caught by the 'monster' lurking under the bridge!

After going to Ikea and buying a shelf, (now in my room, installed with help from Nix) which now holds all my motorcycle boxes and helmets. We went for dinner and on the way home, meet a couple of Red-plate weekend cars, the way one of the drivers really cannot make it. Like student driver! Hahaha!

At a junction, with his own lane also dare not turn out into the main road to Lentor. :slapforehead:

Then after seeing Nix home, on the way back, everyone was like driving super slow, going at 70km/hr on lentor also can overtake people and the traffic wasn't heavy. Hope there wasn't anymore lurking QX around last night.

Wah, QX waiting to catch people. I ever encountered one green QX car, driving quite erratically. Just zoom across chevron road markings to cut into the next lane. No signal, no safety check, never wait for traffic behind to give way. o_O

Today while riding, just to make sure my wivies are not neglected, went to woodlands with my "三姨太" (3rd wife) had to push start her because she is getting lazy sitting in the carpark so long.

Not easy pushing a 200kg bike.

So parked at the top floor of a MSCP in woodlands, in case I need to push start. But the only slot left was besides a Black custom painted Phantom with white flames and 2 very big side boxes. Aiyo! To put the helmet in my box, got to go the left side, stupid Hepco Becko don't know how to make boxes, the top of the box open on the left side one, then when the bike is parked on the side stand, the cover keep on falling down. Had to use my head to prop it open while placing my helmet inside. :( Then must carefully squeeze my way out of the lot after parking! In the end, jump over the railings to the stairs instead! And went to the library!

On the way back, I used the slope to "push start" my mistress. Succeed on the first try!

Back to Yishun! On the way home, tested my gears. Hey! My bike actually got a 5th gear! Muahahaha!

Then after covering my "三姨太" with a bike cover, time to take my "大老婆"(1st wife) out for lunch! Went to North point near near, in case get spotted by my other wivies and quickly went back home to enjoy a "tao pao-ed" (take away) Subway sandwich while reading a comic book I just borrowed.

Ahhh.... truly satisfying.... :thirsty:

Lol, you dont have to bother with what i have said. JUST....Next time before you called someone (a stranger) an idiot for no good reason and only just based on your perceptive, look yourselves in your car mirror first. If you think i am picking on you, look at the rest of the replies to your post

Haven't really rode far during the holidays, so very sian.

Got a bit bored, so guess what I did!

Yap! I went for a little trip. :cheeky:

So.... Today while riding, I went out to explore Malaysia a bit, thought of going to Kota Tinggi, so grabbed a map and off I go! Saw my Linux camera on the way out, but decided not to bring it along, since I won't be going into the reserve to the waterfall itself, just a scouting trip. :)

BIG MISTAKE!!!!

On the way to Johor, I saw textbook example of a natural weather pattern cold front meeting a warm front. Can really see the cold air from Singapore forcing it's way under the warmer air in Malaysia, and where the 2 met, rain clouds were forming and a little farther down can see slight rain falling as I rode along the causeway towards the Malaysian customs. Crap!!! Should have brought the camera!!! :pity:

So all I got was this shot taken at the Shell petrol station with my iphone. It was 12 noon when I took this picture. It had already started raining, while I was riding out of the counter, so I got a little bit wet before I got to shelter put on rain coat and kept going! http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3006.jpg

Riding through the rain, I got a bit lost, overshot the Kota Tinggi junction and wandered into a Malay Kampong. It was still drizzling, so I didn't taken many pics. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3008.jpg

Took shelter at a mosque while getting my bearings.

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3009.jpg

When a flock of geese walked pass me back into their house! haha! Cute! :lol:http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3010.jpg http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3011.jpg

Ok, got my bearings, but didn't get to the right Natural reserve that the waterfall was suppose to be. And it was closed too. Damn! What luck! http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3012.jpg

Well not that I would be going in to walk wearing my raincoat anyway, so... time to open the map and find out where the waterfall was. Had help from my GPS! Haha! http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3015.jpg:sweat:

Took me awhile to find the way there, along the way, the roads were like this one. Twisty and full of blind spots. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3017.jpg

Now you guys may be wondering why I stopped to take this picture, it's because on the other side, I saw this...

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3019.jpg

And a little farther down the road I saw this.

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3023.jpg

Feel like kicking myself for leaving my camera at home. Still, I got quite a few reasonably good pictures using my 2 mega pixels iphone camera, but it would have been an awesome breath-taking picture if I had my 12 mega pixel with me. Sigh!:(

Only 8 km to go!

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3027.jpg

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3029.jpg

Now there was this spot where I stopped to take some pictures.

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3031.jpg

The view was pretty good, so I walked across to take a few more.

When I got back, this was what I saw.

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3034.jpg

My Bike toppled over when I was taking photo! :faint:

KNN !!! Bike parked swee swee take photo turn around still ok, cross the road take more come back, the bike on the floor liao!

And because I was taking photo I left the box open, so all the things fly out when the bike fell. :(

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3035.jpg

Dam! 4 more km to go!

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3036.jpg

Alone in the middle of nowhere and my bike fell.

And when I lifted the bike up, the handle bars twisted and felt funny, I stopped lifting and took a closer look. Damn! The left riser is broken into 2! Either the fall broke it, or the troque when lifting was so great it snapped the darn thing!

No choice, must use Youtube bike lifting method, 1 hand on seat, 1 hand modified under the tank, but when I lifted, the tank also shakey, very scared now...

Can only lift up holding the seat using 1 hand.

Good thing I am strong!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g52/jaymayo21/he-man.jpg

And manage to lift it up most of the way before straddling it and riding it out of the mud!

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3040.jpg

Slipping and sliding along the way.

Note to self, Phantom needs to have a main stand + no grass = cannot park... :sian:

Look at the hole dug up by the side stand.

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3037.jpg

But without going through this, you won't have this pic right?

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3042.jpg

More clever already. No grass = cannot park.http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3044.jpg

500m to go! http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3050.jpg

Somehow, somebody had the bright idea to park infront of me when I was about to take a picture. @3#$%^&*!?!

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3052.jpg

Finally! http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3057.jpg

The inside of the resort. http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3060.jpg

Didn't go all the way in, because it cost $10 Ringgit to go in. Parking is another $1 Ringgit.

On the way back, I took 1 more photo, but the warm and cold front was gone already...

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc310/xiangqing/IMG_3062.jpg

P.S: The causeway route is straighter now, but be careful of loose gravel along the way near the turn in to chop the passport.

Like to highlight, putting side stand down require a solid platform. In your case, normally need to put a small plank and let the side stand rest on it. This will be more firmed than just rest on the soil.

have you guys experienced this before on the highway? traffic is smooth, you are travelling at 90km/hr and when u reach a flyover, all of a sudden, traffic slows down or comes to a stop and u have to brake hard. well, a biker had to find it out the hard way today.

i was driving in the first lane and i noticed from a distance that traffic was starting to build up. well, this biker was riding between lane 1 and 2 and was still going pretty fast when traffic suddenly slowed down and he crashed into the rear of the car that was 2 cars in front of me. there was a loud bang and he literally flew into the air. my heart stopped for awhile and felt the pain for the biker but thankfully, he managed to get on to his feet, looking all dazed with a look on his face that said "wtf just happened?", yet there were no visible injures on him but i could tell that he was injured as he was walking with a limp while walking to the central divider with the help of the driver of the car that he crashed into. his bike was smashed to smithereens and it was lying between lane 1 and 2 so the drivers on both lane 1 and 2 that were behind him got out to help him as well.

i pray that he is alright.

Posted

ouch, but at least he can still manage to walk. hopefully his injuries are not too serious. but think it just highlights the need to keep a safe following distance. am still a novice rider, but i always leave about 3-4 secs gap between me and the vehicle in front. enough time to slow down and respond things like vehicles changing lane, and patches of slow traffic.

Silent Hunter, nice pics!

@Silenthunter: wasted, u shd have went in to wash up in the waterfall! the water now must be pretty cold. + if u r lucky, u would have bumped into many girls! wahahaz. serious, went there b4 with frens, pretty interesting. but dun expect very very very clean environment ok..

i think with that muddy surface, main stand also will sink in ba? i.e. no solid base/ grass = dun park!

heng he's ok, very painful lesson..

riders normally sit higher than cars, less lorry/ mpv etc. we have to use that height to our advantage.

if we look further down the road, we will surely see signs b4 such "sudden" moments happen. for instance, cars upfront braking ALTOGETHER etc - obviously these dun happen all the time, so when it does, our senses will jump and we'll notice something is wrong..

bcoz cars seat lower than us, they will NOT see such signs until late, hence they have to JAM BRAKE. and bcoz they have 4 brakes and more tire traction, they can stop faster than bikes. and if any bikers happen to be following close by, high chance will ram in..

the basic idea here is to look far, and farthest. if we can start to apply brake BEFORE the car in front of us do so, we would have learnt to reduce these "sudden" moments, as much as we can.

Be Safe & Wreckless
