Many aggressive riders in this thread. I scared.

I also hate drivers who high beam and tailgate. But I value my life more.

Try to pay attention also to who's coming up from behind. Siam early if possible. If not, signal and move aside. In an accident, we lose la.

Saw a guy on a pink scooter the other day along Bukit Timah road near Sims Square. Heavy traffic, but he was riding with one hand and doing SMS on his phone with other hand. Champion rider. Must salute.

Today, I bought my first ever BRAND NEW bike! Oh yeah! I bought the new KTM 125 Duke. oh yeah! this is my fourth bike. oh yeah! I downgrade all the way from a wr400 motard to a super 4 and to a 125cc naked bike! oh yeah! I'm such a poser! oh yeah! it sounds a like a kupchai. oh yeah! I bought it on a 5 year installment plan. oh yeah! I broke my vow of only buying bikes full cash. oh yeah! I rode it like I stole it! oh yeah! I ran the bike hard today! oh yeah! I clocked 100km today! oh yeah! I went JB and pump 8l of cheap petrol! oh yeah! cost me only $12 for petrol and food for 2. oh yeah! it's so cool when I see 'ready to race' on the digital speedometer when I start the bike up. oh yeah! i'm irritating so suck it up cos it will end tonight. heh!

P.S. anyone interested in a review of this bike?

Yesterday while riding.

I saw an Ma Chie in JB Shell drive off from the petrol kiosk with the nozzel still in the car like the Ferrari in the SG F1! The hose was ripped off the pump with a loud "TOK!" Petrol was splashed everywhere and the pump attendants pour earth all over the floor to absorb the petrol.

Even after the drama, the pump attendant still walk around sibei idle chatting with another guy, until I bei tahan, go and tap him on the shoulder he still take his own sweet time, go another pump activate then came to my pump.

Waited for 10 mins++ to pump petrol SIAN!!! :dozed:

I clear custom also faster than that. :(

Women drivers, the most dangerous lot. Guess she's used to people topping up for her or pump attendants inserting the nozzle for her.

Used to getting nozzle inserted for her...hee

A few days ago while riding, almost got into an accident.

I was about to lane-split an was about to shift left to go inbetween 2 cars when I remembered that I haven't checked blind spot. Was tired that day having only 4 hours of sleep and working for 11+ hours considering being lazy and just go, but the discipline learnt in SSDC won, and I turned to check and as I turned I saw a Kup with a pillion zipping past me into the gap between the 2 cars. Phew! That was a close one.

gimme some time. I will post a full review of the bike in a new thread. will update the link soon!

Got error, wr400 to a super 4 is an upgrade. Oh yeah! the duke lacks power.

it's a downgrade in my opinion. cos the pickup is sooo much lesser. and top speed is 140+km/hr(clear meter) on wr400 while super 4 is just 170km/hr. and also maintenance is lighter for super 4. :cheeky:

can't be just 6. should be ard 20 or so. 5 Dukes have made it to KL last weekend. if the rating is restricted to 125cc class and below and not considering the cost of the bike, I would have given it a perfect 10! only, megelli 125(underseat pipe), husky 125(sleek look) or aprilia rs125(2 stroke monster) can give this bike a run for its money.

but after considering price, I would have still given it at least 9/10 considering the parts that came with it.

some pics here. enjoy!

170? Derestrict it. WR4 is an old bike, if anything, maintenance is higher.

Honda Super 4 Version S vs Yamaha Wr400. street bike VS race spec bike. EO change is 5000km(abt 4 bottles) VS 1500km(2 bottles). both bikes are more than 10 years old.

seriously bro, have you own both of these bikes before? else, don't shame yourself. honestly bro.

and here's my honest review of the bike.

And now it is a version S, should have mentioned it earlier. Besides, depends on your preference...even if its race specced :p

But sometimes... with the correct repeated vertical motion, it defies gravity.

Turn-off for the day.

Riding home from gym today and its wet. I'm cruising, exiting KPE into the turn of towards sengkang. This idiot Kia Forte comes dashing from behind on the extreme left lane and tries to overtake a slower 2B bike and cuts into my 2nd lane. While CORNERING!!! The road is alread farking wet and you die die must overtake the 2B bike and inch into my lane...again i must emphasize WHILE CORNERING. Horn you once still not enough, blast my horn and you even got the cheek to cut back into the left lane almost hitting the 2B bike. Why???

Story doesn't end here. That idiot decides to tail me like a little b!tch and stops behind me at every traffic light. Did i mention the lane on the left and right is free of vehicles? If you've got balls you could've stopped beside me and scream and vent your anger. Nooo you still tail me all the way to my neighborhood. But here's the interesting thing; i decided to go on a long detour and the climax of the story - Bikes can lane split; you CAN'T! I was hoping you would have followed me alllll the way to the police post and see if you've got any decent sized balls to do whatever it is you were planning to do.

Muthafcuker deserves every finger and toes thrown at him.

If you've got the balls, and you know he tailgate you and stop behind you at every traffic light + almost cause you an accident. At traffic light stop put side stand come off knock on his window, shout in his face, get back on your bike and act like nothing happened ^^ Well, its road rage... but he started it and could have cost you your life. To anyone who treasures their life would be real angry, agreed? Could be equivalent to attempt to murder if you see it from another perspective.

I know this sounds random but what i think is that young, rich kids who would be driving their parents' Merc and Beemers(or any drivers of such cars) should be given a full month of riding on a small bike in sg expressways to get the feel of what it is being a motorcyclist. The riding world would be a much better place like this,IMO..

On a slightly different node, a friend of mine says he never drives without having coins in his car. For what? For idiots who tailgate him; when he sees tailgaters he will chuck a few coins towards the rear (on the outside of course) and crack the tailgaters' windscreen. Think this can be used for bikers as well??
