Hiaz.. too bad cannot spit while riding on the move... cos ff helm... Zzz... But seriously, why do drivers always love forcing bikes outta their lane... Zzz...

The instinct is for us bikers to move out of their lane when they try to force their way in.

But I try to stand my ground if I perceive that the bugger has actually seen me and is moving in slowly, trying to bully his way in on my space. Usually they will lan lan wait for you to clear then move in... maybe high beam you a bit once they're in behind you.

They do not want to cause an accident just as much as you don't want to be involved in one.

Of course, if the bugger is swerving like mad, then move aside. He may not have seen you, or worse... be in control of his vehicle.

out of curiosity, if in that situation, we give a good kick to the door of the car, can they do anything about it? even if witnesses saw, it could be argued that we were doing it in self defense, especially so since we were already within the lane and it was the car that was eating into the bike's right-of-way space

Temptation, right?

Better not do that. If you lose your balance or control while executing that kick, you're the one who's going to eat pavement, curb, or barricade. And if you survive, you'll still be paying him for whatever damages you inflicted on his car. LOL.

nah, i don't think its worth it to get into all of these arguments and confrontations because this car cut my lane, i have my "right of way"

end of the day, i just want to get to destination on time, and so do you.

stay out of my way, and i'll do the same. don't block me when i lanesplit, don't act unpredictably, just continue driving in the straight line like you supposed to.

live to ride another day. more bike to ride than there are cars to fight. as a forummer once told me. as long as you arrive at your destination in 1 piece, it's a good day. so true.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

1) Tail car

2) Wait for driver to leave car

3) RELEASE ALL THE EVIL!!!

Self-experiment for the past year or so -

Scenario 1) Ride with normal clothes, short sleeve, long pants, sometimes slippers, and half face helmet, motorists think lowly of me and eat into my space. Always have to siam this incosiderate raod users

Scenario 2) Full gear on, full-face helmet, mesh riding jacket, riding boots, gloves, cars siam and give way and show me face on road by filtering into left lane when i am zooming on the expressway.

Why leh?

Bro, the drivers see you on the road with full gear on, they'll think, "Wa, so fierce. Better keep out of his way." Seriously my friends all say I look more badass with full gear on.

I think they are too comfortable in their seat with enjoying their air-con and music or phone call to avoid focusing on traffic so they take short cut by test water on bikers like us to force us off our lane and sometimes i believe they have been patient or perhap agitated or been blocked by bad or slow driver before. keke

knn almost got into accident just now

i was approaching a junction in a turn right only lane when the car on my left, without signalling, dashed out just 5-6m in front of me.

ebraked, swerved and horn at the same time. luckily managed to siam by half a meter. the driver was apologetic and kept waving sorry sorry so i just let it go.

after i got down from my bike, my hands are still shaking cos this shave was too close for comfort..... and tmr, 20112011 is my wedding day :dot:

Hi guys, may i know how a red light camera works? cos i was too near to stop line to stop safely after amber turned red (I was on last directional arrow)... So i simply pass the red light... will get summoned? Cos i really scared the tailgater banged me from behind.. the junction is the one going downslope towards bedok de... The other side of the junction have red light camera... but my side does not have one.. so how?

Once the red light stayed on for few second, you dashed thru from the stop line. It will flash twice. It will not flash if you are already midway through the junction when the light changes from amber to red.

This is why I don't like riding in the rain, its like a slip waiting to happen everywhere, drivers driving fast as if they are the ones exposed to the rain, they and their phones, music and poor visibility.

Whenever that happens kid, peep in your side mirrors... if you see a flash go off... you're screwed... abit over the white line nothing one la...

Next time try beat the entire red light completely and you will observe when you are in the middle of the junction you will notice the flash going off... Except the one at sime rd and lornie rd junction.... you abit go out you can say cheese already.... that cb camera damn sensitive.
