If claim for new side panels and handle bars (All original brand new BMW) as well before doing realignment, and all this is done at the BMW service center, I think $3K also cannot cover.

Today become pedestrian for almost the whole day. Was returning from and was about to cross the pedestrian crossing. Came a taxi alighting its passenger ar the traffic light. Light then turned red but taxi can just move across the yellow box and beat the red light forcing pedestrians to stop in their tracks. Now become pedestrian also need to have a cam recording journeys.

For this sort of "sure-win" claims, having a good lawyer who is also a daily bike rider to represent you is critical.

 

A taxi grazed me at T-junction while I was on a bicycle. My cyclist lawyer managed to get $10,400 for me. That's a bicycle.

 

For a motorbike, you can easily have a good time re-doing your bike to as good as new on the yah yah female driver's expense.

 

You have to hit these negligent drivers where it hurts. In the pocket. Claim them big, so that their excess is maxed out and next premium goes sky high and they cannot afford the premiums and won't drive.

 

Next time, a child standing at the car park may lose his life, if we don't penalise negligent driving/riding.

Today while riding, I was behind this Chio Malay girl riding her orange scrambler on my way to camp.

 

Why I know she is Chio is because she lives in the next block from me and I have seen her without her helmet on. So along the way, from my block car park until Lentor, I was trailing behind her, watching her long wavy brown hair fluttering in the wind from under her helmet, and admiring her slim shapely waist from behind.

 

Too bad because I was going to reservist, so I couldn't bring along any camera to video this.

 

Haizzzzz.... just another day of riding.

 

On the way home, I saw TP ambush just before Orchid country club.

2 Orange stripe Police car and 4 officers, standing at the heavy vehicle parking there, 1 with a radar gun, 1 with a clip board and 2 with orange plastic light stick baton waving down cars. Apparently quite a number of cars got caught speeding.

 

Luckily they were not on my side of the road, so I "Siam-ed"

Today ride 1/2 way my engine suddenly died, restarted and die again and again until cannot start anymore. Luckily near ubi, pushed it for 1km to bike shop for repair. The engine stop switch seems to be faulty. Rewired the thing to bypass the switch and it is ok liao.

That guy stupid or what? Insurance only cover claims above $2.5k-$5k... So that dumb driver still has to fork out the first $2.5k-$5k cash and the excess will then be covered by the insurance company... That's what my driving instructor told me when I was learning to drive...

 

maybe he thinks that it is fairer if settle via insurance claim or maybe he thinks that he doesn't have to fork out a single cent if settle via insurance claim.

theoretically speaking, my fren can actually make a police report and classify the case as hit and run. in actual fact, the driver did not stop her vehicle aft hitting my fren's bike and proceeded straight ahead to park her car in a parking lot. she came down only to say " I didn't know I hit ur bike". luckily she is a resident there that's why she went to park her car if not I really have to chase her

there is no unloading bay . and then show a picture of the bike ..

maybe he has the mentality that bike repairs can't be that expensive and not willing to settle privately partly because he is also afraid that my fren will try to raise the amt of compensation

luckily side stand able to withstand the impact so the bike nvr drop

 

total damages to the poor 5 mths old bike:

- scratches to the front mudguard

- alignment gone

- some fins on the oil cooler (aka radiator) is either dented or broken

 

i can't imagine how much the oil cooler is gonna cost

just witness my fren's bike kena bang. we were chatting at the void deck so my fren park her bike (BMW GS 1200) at the handicap lot as there were no empty bike lots nearby (partly her fault for parking there). car comes driving in, saw that there were no empty car lots so decide to reverse and park outside. while reversing, the car hit my fren's bike and a loud bang could be heard.

 

both of us quickly ran towards the bike, do a quick check on the front of the bike (found scratches on the mudguard and pieces of the car's brake light plastic casing on the floor) and chase the car that was leaving the scene. at the same time, a group of malay riders sitting at the void deck at the next blk came running out when they heard the loud bang and also told us that the car had bang my fren's bike.

 

luckily the driver is a resident of the same blk as me and she (driver) parked her car at the lot just outside. we question her whether she knew that she bang the bike and her reply was "i didnt see the bike at all so i dunno that i banged it".

 

Standard lie these drivers give, never see, that's why you're supposed to check your mirrors, claim her for every single cent that could be claimed.

exactly. the accident happened at 12:05 AM and the surrounding was very quiet since majority will be asleep but she claim that she cant hear the loud bang when she bang my fren's bike. in my mind i was thinking "BMW GS 1200 (with 1 top box and 2 side box) so big also cannot see, the bang so loud also cannot hear, den i seriously dunno wat u can see and hear". the female driver then ask her daughter to call her father/husband to come down to settle. the female driver damn arrogant, keep giving the "stuck up" face and tell the husband "how i know got bike park there ah? there also cannot park one wat"

 

in the end settle via insurance claim. according to insurance "law/logic", 100% claim for stationary vehicles even though it is parked illegally. since the husband of the driver keep insisting that he wanna let the authorities summon my fren for illegal parking, it will be a separate issue and will not affect the outcome of the insurance claim

 

Tell the dumb ****, report lor, with the amount you're gonna get from the hit and run, $400 will be nothing.

Didn't know what happened until the tyre started deflating and I had to exit at bangkit, go to spc at fajar road, pump full and go back to yew tee and it flattened again... -.-

Yup, tubeless... Anyway, the nails shouldn't even be on the road la... Wa kao... Also dunno how they ended up there... Sometimes still can see a bloody wooden block about 1m long, and about 15cm x 15cm... It's like a kerb in the middle of the expressway... Imagine hitting it at 100km/h... OMG... First, your wrists break, then your wheel airborne, when landing, u can't steer cos your wrists fractured and it's pain, boom, superman, then boom again, hit by car... Omg... Then it's GG Liao... I nearly kena before... Damn scary sia... Wtf...

Saw 2 x 40 seater bus in lane 1 AYE(Tuas) near Tuas Ave 2 exit. The one behind almost kissed the one in front. Omg! How I wish I had some recordings so I can send it to TP.

Ya I'm using tubeless too. Heard its better than tube, not so easy to get deflated by a puncture so can last longer.

Today, after riding stop at the POSB atm. waited in q. infront of the deposit atm, this FT from india. looks like a manual labourer to me . many of his friends waiting a bit far away from him. now this guy, one bundle at a time ($5000) put his cash in to the machine. he put 3 or 4 times. that will be around almost $20k. wow. how in the world???

Today while riding... Was reaching home on highway when I was changing from lane 1 to lane 2 in order to exit at the next exit.... Car in front didnt saw me and did a spilt second signal and lane change also so I did a quick mirror check and swerve to lane 2.5, altot I didnt see anything in e mirror but somehow I tot i saw a light behind so just in case I braked and pulled back to lane 2 and saw a RVF rider braking and swerve to road shoulder....

 

End up he was exiting at the same place at him and I wanted to wave a sorry for abruptly changing into his lane but he speed up and disappear...

 

Felt pretty guilty after that....
