Thanks for the info. Anyone know where else got sell decent quality leather/sythetic leather saddlebags, my budget is $100-200? When to LAB and the shops around it to take a look, the bags doesn't look lasting. Searched some old threads and someone mentioned Motoworld got sell...but went there they only have those nylon type saddlebags....not what I'm looking for

Got a question. Is there anyway to reduce vibrations of the engine when going at 80-90+++km/h? Or maybe reduce the vibrations at the pillion foot pegs at those speeds? Will eagle foot rests help?

vibrations on a TA200 is inevitable. u can try grounding, but it'll only help by a little bit.

the stock one is full of rubber. that already helps alot.. much more than the eagle i suppose.

i would prefer the eagle footrest, coz if it vibrates more ur leg feels stable coz eagle footrest mah BIG:cheeky:

Just met sum1 who's using the one with the heel rest for the rider.. he said much less vibration if u rest ur feet on the heel rest only (compared to stock)... anyone using the heel rest type here? any comments?

u can try to PM gohkm and kmax.. they are using it.. do note that this foot rest is longer than stock, meaning if you play corners, then don't buy it. :p

Hi all.

Received a helmet from Vincekam(seen in pg 88). But only recently I tried it on. Found it to be too tight for me. So I asked Vince if he wants it back his reply was to see if anyone wants it or not.. So guys, if anyone wants a M size OF helmet with PSB sticker, do let me know.

So now, if anyone have a L size helmet OF with PSB approved sticker, do let me know how much u letting it go at. Thanks!

Once again, Thanks Vince for your kind gesture.

And Happy CNY to all!

Very vague. Is it harder to engage neutral when you've just started riding (engine cold) or after a protracted period of riding (engine hot)

You answer this, you'll get your answer from me.

my rear brake is not sensitive at all, need very hard press to work, and the brake power is weak. what is the problem?

Has it been like this from day 1? In the first place, phantom brakes sucks. When I've got some free time, I intend to do some funky stuff to my entire brake system to make it more effective.

Anyway rear brake not sensitive in a way is good for Phantom; the bike is rear heavy and more liable than other bikes to experience a rear wheel lock.

no aftermarket foot rest that will absorb more of the vibrations?

Since when aftermarket footrests/rearsets absorb vibration? Maybe you can try some DIY with your OEM footrests. Get some rubber washers, and try to fit them in between where the footpeg and the footrest bracket are connected (the screws). This should dampen some vibration. But chances are, you'll just get used to it. The phantom doesn't vibrate a lot at 90km/h. If it does... :giddy:

y? u scared your leg vibrate off the footpeg? even scrambler vibration also won't make your leg vibrate off the footpeg leh...haha

Hey thanks for the tip about the saddlebags! Will check out at Eugene. Any idea what's the price range? Don't mind paying a bit more if the quality is good :)

mostly vibrations comes from loosen parts, so tighten ur screws :D

joking ya,

there are some "engine-damper" rubber stubs that put in between the slices of engine block, which they say "will reduce the vibration"

but i find them not much help.

for vibration, i'd prefer the stock foot peg absorb the best, it's adjustable position (u can lift up abit, move, shake them), that absorbs vibrations better than custom foot-pegs.

The one with heel-rest or large eagle rest are non adjustable, and solid metal pieces, which vibrate more,

yes u can change ur foot position as they are wider and larger, but it's quite awkward to place ur foot on heel-rest, (at-least for long-leg-rider like me)

madman and babycakes saddle bags are good enough for phantom, quality and price-wise, be patient..

It's a second hand bike, since the 1st day I got it.
