anger begets anger. when u're angry at someone n the other party cant control, fire start. the only way to avoid big fire is to pour water, so be calm like water.

ask urself, how much time does it save u if u overtake 1 car? r u so urgent that u cant stop 4 30sec because of some bad drivers?

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

What to do? Nowadays too many cars on the road as car prices are so cheap. Good drivers drive, kayu drivers drive, no need to drive one also drive...Everyday traffic jam...Taxi want to fight for survival, sure rush and become rally drivers one.

Somemore so many drivers drive with the mentality that riders never pay road tax...Rear ended me also say I langa him...Really have no idea how to handle people with their childish thinking...

What I do is to be very noticable on the road with bright stickers to flash my backside. Always brake early and use strategic positioning to diminish the chances of cars makaning me. Normally riders can escape from heart pumping situation by just being a little more polite and give way. But if someone just insist to makan me...Then LL give way and use my airhorn to tell him not to do that again...

Just my humble opinion...:cheeky:

Complain letter... hmmmm..

Ever send a compliment/thank you letter to drivers who gave way to u eventhough it was his right of way or to the person who helped u when u "buang" or had an accident?

I use to complain³, now i dont bother. Cos the more u complain, the more they get angry, instead of making them know they are in the wrong...

I know there are alot of f#*k up drivers out there, like one driver from left lane cut into my lane on the right... i blast my horn, instead of checkin his right mirror or blindspot he checks his left mirror and carry on cutting into the lane...

Get angry too often also no point, make urself stress... just forgive and forget, and pray hard the person who diz u, will die in a horrible accident, where his head get severed off.... :thumb:

I wont report if the driver apologises when i tap on his window.

Theres this one time at Boon Lay Way, opposite Jurong Point. It was at 10pm, 23rd July 07.

COMFORT CAB, SHC3403R

Above mentioned cab cut into my lane, and jammed brakes because it was amber light. I was going straight, after all three arrow rule anyone? He cut into my lane, and jammed brakes! I was stunned into jamming my rear brakes. Reflex action from riding a crappy company bike. Can you imagine a bike with a gigantic box mounted on... fishtailing?

Anyways i didnt fall. I just moved my bike next to his window... and tapped.

"Hallow. You ok or not?" I politely asked. By ok, i meant...

"Hey, what the mother **** did you think you're doing? Your bloody brain, is ok or not?"

Thats what i wanted to say. But not nice. Since i was wearing company uniform. Then he started babbling gibberish about the ****ing amber light. Speaking of which, the light turned green... and he sped off to the next traffic light. (Boon Lay Way/Jalan Boon Lay junction).

By this time i was really pissed. Caught up to the ****er... didnt talk at all. Just take down his number.

This is in contrast to another near hit i had a few months back. Another sudden lane change. I swerved... and moved my bike next to the window... and tapped. Asked the uncle if he knew that he nearly hit me. He said he didnt. Politely. Followed his lead, and told him that he nearly hit me when he lane changed earlier, and that he should be more careful. Everything politely.

Now, dont you think that there will be less **** to be angry about if everyone was CIVIL, for ****s sakes?

Lanz i still have to pay the car fellow tht i bang. Luckily that he knw abt that then he kinna nice to help me but STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR DAMAGE.

Aiyah "KONG BUE LIAO" (endless stories) one la. Even you take bus also kana bang in bus-stop. So its heng suay. Just YOU, Yourself LOOK AND SEE wats going on. Even i say like that i also not PRO. Mabbe tml i on road immediately kana bang also NO ONE KNWS. SEE, LOOK, and PRAY. Enjoy the priviledge of riding if scared then dun ride lor so simply. Thats life thou.

Taxi driver is the only job i've known so far to contribute most of the fatal road accident, deaths on the road. Working in healtcare gives you the power of information. Everytime got road traffic accident, 80% got taxi involved.... My worst experience on the road also been always wit the Taxi drivers.

License to drive, license to kill. Its just how responsible you are when driving. But drink driving now is on the rise too, very fast.

my exp with taxi drivers have all been quite ok, only a bunch driving on the edge.

most near accident i've ever encountered is with other road drivers like merz, bigger bikes n lorry. i usually drive slow on road, but dunno y they always like to cut in front of me n brake, or they cut me n later i've to cut them as in front jam.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

taxi drivers (and most drivers) hav a habit of speeding/rushing to overtake bikes (sometimes recklessly) but end up stopping at the next traffic light junction/jam, which at that point we overtake them back (oozing thru gracefully).

He bi ne? (for wat???)

i know where they (taxi drivers) hang out and leave their cabs unattended,

Well , all well said & done, all classes of riders, drivers etc... have the good,Bad & ugly just my cents worth , I have been on the roads for over 30 years riding & driving , it takes allkinds of ppl to make the world,

Yes I have complain against some taxis drivers , YES there is some ugly ones !! real ugly , bad road attitude, more cars on the roads, rising taxi rentals , but don't all of us face the same problems , that does not mean we take our problems on the roads, some are not fit to ride or drive on the roads if they cannot accept changes, more cars on the road cos many ppl complain that cars were too expensive , reserved only for the rich ? then the govt made ownership easier but now complain too many on the roads, traffic woes, our poor govt cannot make all happy .

So face with this situation , my advice is Live & Let Live , do not exert your rights , sometimes as bikers we may not live long to fight it out in court over your rights !! Just got to ride defensively , in my 30 years of riding on the roads, has taught me one thing YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE WORLD , I meant the ugly ones, riding or driving the reckless way they do , they will ultimately pay the price one day themselves.

So many many times green arrows to turn is flashing , but most cars dash across is one of the major concern these days, so bikers when the lighht turn green in your favour , it does not mean it is safe to turn that throttle full, you may suddenly see a car going through beating the Green arrow, cos many do not want to wait for the next set of lights to be in their favour, wonder if the Traffic Police takes notice of these , more than 50% of accidents are at traffic intersections !!

safe Riding bikers !! Live & Let Live

well, i do admit i sometimes ride recklessly, however whenever i'm slow, i usually keep left, extreme left if need to. i find tailgating a slow vechi when riding slow is the safest, but not sandwitched in btw. however i hate those who cut from blind spot.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

i agree that there r inconsiderate drivers hu try to kill u then when u horn or tap on their window its lyk nothing happened..no sorry nothing n sometimes its even ur fault all of a sudden...but guys! dun u realise sometimes bikers r e same?? dun tell me u nvr encountered bad bikers? i sure have..which made me realise..every type of vehicle also i bet u $100 sure got bad riders/drivers but bcos we r so exposed n vulnerable we feel that we're bein bullied! so jus relax and let ppl go when they do stupid things on the road n jus be happy that u r still alive to ride another day!
