Sorry, mate, brand new guages are available for $25 now. Comes with one-to-one exchange warranty. I've used one for about 3 months now - accurate and no waterproof issues.

 

Maybe you should just keep it for own use or let go to a friend for less than $25? All the best!

Now there is a prob with my bike.

 

The headlight is unable to work properly. The low beam is not working and I cannot switch to high beam using the high beam -low beam switch. However I can manually press the high beam 'trigger - like' switch for the lights.

 

By the way the light bulb have 2 fuse? one for high beam and other one for low beam?

What should i do if i want my vtec opens at 6.5?

who is the mechanic and shop i can approah to do this?

roughly how much it cost?

Provided you don't have aftermarket headlight switch, I suspect your problem could be the same as Hakim's. With key in off position, spray WD-40 (I recommend Motorex Silicone lube) into the switch assembly. After spraying, "play" with the switch. While you're at it, do the same with ALL switches. Leave bike for a couple of hours and try starting bike, then test lights.

 

Hopefully this is it. If still not working, you'll need to open up the switch assembly to see if the headlight wire is connected properly. May have dis-connected.

 

If you have a aftermarket switch, pls find your mech as answer too long for me to type now...

Do you know the service history? When was the last valve clearance check done? Assuming your idling speed (RPM) is ok and bike has no other issues, you'd probably need to do valve service already.

 

Labour cost: About $120 - $150

Parts: depends on what needs to be replaced. See advertisers' board for packages offered by some shops. I personally don't go for package deals for jobs like this. IMHO end up paying for something I might not need replaced. Waste $...

Rack is secure?

Wobble with box loaded or not?

Checked your rear pre-load if only wobble when fully loaded.

Tyres condition?

 

Got a few more but pls check above first.

 

I have a 52L box. No wobble up to top speeds in all weather.

Bro, u wanna change the VTEC from 7k rpm to 6.5k rpm, I nv heard of anyone does that before.

Might as well get a SpecII if u wan earlier activation of the VTEC.

Love to join but can't. Exams coming up:dozed:. Will be free from 3rd week or april only.

 

 

Just washed bike on sunday morning. Now brake light is not working properly for front brake. Read brake working fine. Front isn't working properly. When front brake is pressed, light goes and off a few time before staying on. Like ambulance warning light.

hi i have recently acquired a specIII vtec in india . I am trying to look for a maintenance manual for it . But its nowhere to be found pn the net .
