hi fellow riders,

 

I am a kr rider too. I riding kr for like only about 3 months plus plus. Still considered newbie la.

 

I have yet to do any servicing to my bike. What should i do to maintain my bike in good condition ???

( So far never experience any problem with my bike touchwood dont want to experience anything also. hahaha)

What all should i tell my mechanic to change ?? eg. spark plug..etc etc

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And Riders can i just know how much to repair my fairing ?? i got few cracks at the bottom of my side fairing.

And how much does a whole new set of fairing cost (side fairing,head fairing,tail..) ???

And i like to do a paint job to my bike...heard pearl white more expensive. so still considering the colour but white still the best colour for me la..heheh

how much does it cost to do a paint job lets say green, the fairing, the chassic, the air box all to be green also. ???

I also want to mod my tail. I want to install a different tail-light too. Heard x1 or r6 tail looks good. How much would it cost ??

Well. Spark plug / engine oil 2 months should be fine. Wash carburator if you feel something is wrong in the setting. Ask mech to do back setting. If you using 2t pump, ensure the intake is nt too low or not too much. Fully synthetic works fine if not semi is okey too. Penzoil, motul, castrol, maxima. Good brands. Brake pad change if u encounter less brake power. Check ur discbrake if dented . Check brake fluid. Fork oil top up if less. Service fork evryhing cost around Rm 120. I think so. Might wanna check sterring cone. Wheel bearing too. Change them if u need to . 40rm for both frnt andback. Suspension wise if still can use , then use. Change tyre if need too. Full service bike every 4 to 5 mnths depends on how much u use. Go for local, planet motor, unique if you scared to get chop at jb though jb is cheaper. Then slowly learn about bike and can do service at jb. Check battery and wiring. Change magnetic coil after sometime if ur batt flat often and every electrical thing in ur bike gnna die off soon. ) cost couple of hundreds. So jst be prepare. Well if you wanna mod, external by all means. Just not too much such as disturb the body frame n stuff, cause once u accident, chances are scrapping your bike due to highly modification of bike especially body frame. Moulding of tail can do at jb around rm 300 to 400 depends on type of tail.

And when wanna mod, tell then if u wanna keep ur 2t pump thus give some leeway for the tail to slot in the 2t pump area, if not no choice got to put it somewhere or premix bike. Premix means overhaul. To remove the washer inside . Cannot just anihow overhaul. . Keep it simple. Keep it nice. Too much modification will attract TP. Wanna go notty2 at night also mind not at ease.

anyway, i'll answer your question by breaking them down..

 

maintain in good condition-

1) change EO/spark plug every 1~3 months depending on time/$$$

2) full service / top overhaul every 6mth~1 year depending on time/$$$

3) change wheel bearing every 6mth~1 year depending on time/$$$/total weight/box?/mileage.

4) the rest? wear and tear and check accordingly..

 

Fairing-

1) Go jb and patch and respray (take one whole day if you know the bike shop well + good weather)

2) SG got do also.. but will cost more.. Go planet and plead with uncle chiong to help you.. whahhaa.. *he will say.. abit nia.. no need do..

3) dun buy new one.. not worth.. unless you like the colour that the person is selling, if you wan, check our garage sale.. around $80? but colour is already there...

 

paint job-

1) as above mentioned but whole bike will take at least 1 week~3weeks (CNY session now)

2) chassic, the air box will not be sprayed unless requested. (Uncle chiong, planet wun do this) you have to go to a specialist for paint job and it's costly..

 

tail-

1) most people buy from JB, cost around RM$200~$300? (pls correct me if i'm wrong) i didn't do before..

2) SG, unsure...

Hahaha busy with work lah bro. )) yws change alot liao. From white to stock blue to black now. New fork. New rim. New paintwork. New body frame sprayed. And and selling soon. Wasted man . Tyre all still new. Well i post the footrest tonight. Chrome 125z. But i placed it inverted as in left to right n right to left because if i leave it the way it supposed to be place, pillion leg n ur leg will hit because the gap between both footrest is near. So i placed it other way round. Like hafiZ spiderman one lah. Emporer. Rememba? But pillion need to knw hw to really sit lei if not confirm complain x10000 times. Hahaha need the slutty kinda siting to be cmfortable

normal servicing jus change 2t change engine oil change change spark plug tighten and lube chain check tyre pressure can le. 2t very impt for 2 stroke bike if not easy piston jam be very careful

If your brake caliper kinda loose, what actually happen ah ? as in i can hold the caliper and shake2. But not too loose, just a little bit. is it due to not screw properly or wear and tear in the thread ?

Yes yes ) it took me around 2 years to really know the bike. Its easy to ride. But it takes time to master it. Counter the fall/skid/fishtail. How to judge the corner. How to understand your bike . When i got the bike on 2008, everything doesnt seems right. Problem here and there. Mechanics chop here and there. Get to know old birds and learn from them. And i keep it stock. cause i believe thats the best. No stopping you from mod your bike but you have to understand one thing let to another. Have to fully mod to feel the power and wear and tear is fast. Keep it stock. Good FC. Enough power. Enough for a 2B bike. Fast and simple. I do mod the outlook but not internal Sharp tail 2 seater . 125z pillion footrest. Panter mudguard. Thats about it Not to fancy not too stock. Sadly gonna let it go soon. COE ending end of year thus every riders dream to own a class 2 bike. So so letting it go for good. -_-
