i hit a car from behind this morning at AYE alexandra exist....

the EMAS damn fast appear(less than 2 mins) ...the question is . i bought the bike under COI.. using ex-owner's insurance(add as sub ridder) will the policy holder get into trouble?? or just ask the insurance company to pay ?? or I aso need to pay for the car's repairing fees

went to m'sia last night ..cos my fork cap or the whole fork seem to have problem ... they quote me RM 120 for a pair of new forks..... any1 service b4??

Sounds unbelieveable if it's really new forks at that price. Go for it. By the way, if you want, please bring back your forks & sell me. I want!!!

how's the damage to the car?

either:

1. if u are confident of being able to get repairs for the damage at reasonable rate...then u are better off w/ pte settlement

2. if cost of repair = huge...get the fella to claim insurance

 

before u choose option 2....consult yr main rider 1st

cause if the car driver claim above a certain amt for damages...the insurance premium for yr main rider will go up~

 

take note...its EITHER option 1 or 2

if the fella claim insurance...there's no need for u to pay other additional compensation to car driver already

and when negotiating w/ car driver...thou u may be in the wrong...but pls try to maintain firm attitude...dont let the fella pull yr nose and follow whatever he say...this puts in a poor bargaining position

hm...i suggest u seek the opinion of another motordiam

seems weird to me that u need to change the whole fork

normally pple change part of the fork only when fork kena bent or what...

else for stuff like rubber seal etc....can be replaced or serviced one marh...

there might be a possibility that the motordiam is trying to save on the time/effort required to repair the forks thats why they recommend u get new forks instead

hope im not wrong on this one? KRR gurus opinions pls!

anyway juz yr luck to kena a not-too-clever person to clean yr bike

seen before other friend's bike kena forcefully cleaned by the beggar as well

no scratches leh~

kind of dont like the way they approach yr bike w/o asking for permission in the 1st place...then when u go back to yr bike they give u the "u-are-supposed-to-pay-me" look

You may have a point but :-

 

(1) We can't really inspect his forks his forks properly through a picture. Minute bend? Pitted forks?

 

(2) To replace a fork cap is easier than replace both fork tubes. Even changing the fork seals compared to changing new fork tubes are almost similar. I see no reason why they are opting for a more difficult task when a fork cap is all that is neccesary unless he sees something that we don't?

 

Not a guru view, just a noob one. The REAL Guru (aka Wartboy always hides from sharing info, that's why his bike so damn fast!)

By the way, will Wartboy please enlighten me please. I wanted to race my friend last night and was told that if you hold your rpm at 10000rpm and throw the clutch at 1st gear, Hayabusa also can win. Can I know if that method was what you used to race to win the 400m drag race with the Space Shuttle?

my front wheel hit the Hyundai accent bumper .. the bumper got scratches and one of the tail light cover drop out ..i think it's broken aso ..

BUT he took my IC and copy copy ...and tell me he last time aso rider .. ask me to ride safely next time and he LEFT ...I dunnoe his number,his name ,his number plate .. all dunnoe haiz ..cos i was still shoking at the time

btw why the EMAS come and take pictures of the car and my bike?? are they under TP ?? I assume he is goin to claim fr my insurance liao .. will I get demerrit point?? and if he claim how will it affect the policy holder??

I told policy holder liao .. he sae he will pass me the letter when it comes ...omg wat letter ???

Any hope of settling "offline" with the owner direct now solely lies on the owner himself. There will be a letter from the insurance company to ask you to verify that the accident happened, and from this point it's up to the lawyers/consultants from the insurance companies to fight it out.

 

There's nothing you can do, so stop worrying and let nature take it's own course from here.

Welcome to the KRR complaint centre. Yes the KRR has 2 silly mirrors positioned so badly that when you wear your jacket, chances are you can't see anything. I suspect that if you are able to find a mirror with a longer stem, your problems might be solved.

 

Yes. A blind spot mirror can be helpful and at the same time make you lazier to turn your head to check blind spot.

I'm not too sure, I think the owner's premium will increase unless there's a way for you to say that you were riding. If you are given any demerit points, it would be nice that you were riding and not the owner.

 

What's wrong with this month? I had accident on the first day of the lunar seventh month also. Same type of accident also, except I didn't hit the car infront, I high-sided myself.. Some people just like to e-brake to a halt in first lane with the car infront of him another 50 metres away for no reason.

today is our unluckiest day.. i hit a car too, head to rear.. my bike is seriously injured.. my plastic head crack into 2 and my fork gone case.. anyway i tink i need to change the casing of my whole bike already.. and i broke the my big forearm bone, and dislocate the smaller one.. happened on BKE to PIE.. 8.15 on my way to school.. nw i cant write for 2 mths.. damn that a****** driver.. was between lane 3 and 4, about to exit into PIE.. den this a****** from lane 3 suddenly lane change to lane 4 nv check whether i was there anot and the worst thing is that he cut into lane 4 and left his a****** butt btw lane 3 n 4.. and i was bloody near it, break oso cannot stop in time den comes the "BOOOOM" i am sitting on the road.. alot ppl saw.. both lane were jam at that time.. but i first time accident didnt know must get witness no. de a****** driver sent me to tts hospital den ask me go reg and he go park.. didnt have his contact, nither does he haf mine.. den he went parking and nv came back.. lucky i took his car plate and did a police report.. the saddest thing todat is nt my broken hand but my 1 week 2 days old NEW KRR !!!! hiaz nw he in ER.. wed den go see him.. hw were u injuried too? hws ur bike? i damn sad my KRR !!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 week 2 days old only !!!!!!!!!!!! havent even go for first run in... =\

sad to hear ur story ... mine is not so bad ... managed to e-break to ard 20km/h then hit the car... but damn i shd have swing my bike to road shoulder then can avoid hiting tat car....my bike is not much injiry .. paint crack until can see original silver paintwork ..fairing abit lose

Sometimes sh*t happens even if you were not speeding or doing anything stupid. In my case, it was the car's faulty brake lights and due to my judgement(that he won't e-brake for no reason) that caused my crash. I'm glad that the car behind me didn't run over me, and that I am still alive.

 

Money still can earn back, I know the feeling sucks to crash, but we all have first times right? Next time got story to tell grandkids.
