while i was riding back today... got smell burn rubber.. wat is it ah??

i thought it was someone else's but when i got to my parking lot.. still got that smell leh... look at my bike.. everything's seems fine. why ah??

u do burn-out ah? to my knowledge i think is yr electrical stuff melt sumwhere... most likely to be the headlight area..... just guessing... wait for the gurus to come to yr aid lor...

Burnt rubber? Did it smell like leaving an iron on the clothes for too long?

 

The last time I had a burning smell was because I wore working pants.

The questions are:

Understand that the standard rear tyre for the KR150 is 110. I am sure some of you have put on 120s.

 

I would like to know what is the effect of putting a bigger rear tyre on the bike?

 

Is the top speed affected? If so, by how much?

 

What about the straight line handling at high speeds? Stable or wobbles?

 

Was there a need to change the sprockets to more teeth to compensate for the bigger tyre profile?

Unsure of that but acceleration still feels the same.

Highest I have went is about 150-160km/h, feels pretty much the same as the 110/70 tyre I had previously.

but two things' for sure... im not using the high temp spray and my clothes are all fine.. hehe

guys.. a few more things...

this morning had some problem on my kick start. usually i on choke should be quite easy liaoz. but today i kick like hell then can start. i've been riding for abt 2 mths already.. 2nd hand bike. so far.. the only thing i've done to my bike is top up 2t, coolant, and spray chain lube. do i need to change my spark plug?? and some ppl tell me flush out my coolant to prevent algae build up. i'm quite short so i need to tip toe. during jams quite troublesome as i need to off engine and use leg power 'more like toe power'. can make it lower? soften the suspension ah?? any disadvantages if i do so?? any other things i should look into??

how abt yr brakepads?

could they be pressing against yr brake disc resulting in the burnt smell?

think its time u drop by bikeshop to get yr engine oil and spark plug changed

maybe when u visit the shop...can ask the mechanic regarding the burnt smell as well

anyway u can consider cutting the seat lower

however, lower seat = lesser cushion = less comfort

make it a point to change the engine oil and spark plug every month

 

btw ya can lower the temp of ride by running on distilled water plus water-wetter

hello mates! im thinking of changing my swingarm. cos it looks quite bad bcos of the battery watter dripping from the previous owner resulting in rust..any recommendations? where? what brand? price?? thankss a million

to get yr legs to reach the floor...i wont suggest doing anything to the rear suspension in case it affects the handling of the bike

so i reckon slicing the seat thinner might be able to help abit

it wont help too much cause there's only that much u can slice the seat...

instead of changing swingarm

can consider using sandpaper to smoothen the affected parts

then use sticker to coverup or spray paint the whole swingarm

damn i found out that my headlight is very milky inside, think alot of white particles makes my lights dimmer...

anyone know how to get rid of those particles?

or need to go bike shop to do in case diy will scratch or wat which results in scratches??
