Ah Pek, am asking on behalf of a friend. He is riding a Spec 3, recently had voltage readings of 12 - 12+, changed batt, rectifier and coil, intially voltage reading can maintain at 14 - 14+, after some time still drops to 12 12 +, any idea why?

Is the reading taken from a good multivoltmeter or one of those that installed on bike which are actually meant for in car cockpit uses? If its not ameasure by a multimeter..its hard to say the reading is right bekuz those meter are unreliable.

"voltage reading can maintain at 14 - 14+"...NO SUCH THING..this is a charging voltage reading an only at certain rpm (from 2k-5k). If what I say does not applied..than his bike must have quite a huge electrical loading.like installation of extra gagets.

If u are getting 19k to 23k/L...its ok..."change is constant"...no two bike or road u ride is the same.

Errr..."size"?..if u meant "capacity" in volume..its 3 litres for reserve. So the usage b4 reserve is 15 litres.

Likely "clutch housing" problem.

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a Spec3.When i Switch on the bike it runs both the meters ( Speedo & Rpm ),. But when i ride the bike the speedo meter is not working & the rpm is working just fine.So just because of that mileage also not working .Since cables are not available in this model what could be the problem ? Since the meters are working when switch on can't be a meter problem ! Please help me on this
