Well, if this is so, then I guess we're catering to a new breed of 2b sportbikers.

but since this bike, and all other upcoming 2B bikes are becoming 4 stroke, horsepower will be reduced.

In the future, we won't hear stories of 2B bikers "meter-clear" at 160-180km/h cuz by then, that will only be possible for Class 2A bikes :-/

I don't think its coming to SG, yet.

I seen the other 2008 Yamaha motor.

Its called YZ125 or something.

You can check it out though.

The sole distributor of Yamaha in SG is Hong Leong Finance company.

I checked their website already.

R1 and R6 is coming, but not R125.

Not that they've mentioned =\

I personally don't think it'll be goodbye to SP/KR/TZM/RS/Mito/Hornet etc. How to say ah, well I hasn't been around the forum much so before I get flame, let me put it this way. 2-strokes have their value, some say (and I repeat, SOME say) 2-strokes are fun to play with, 4-strokes are more economy.

Its very hard for 4-strokes to over-value the 2-stroke's fun factor but economy-wise 4-strokes win 2-strokes hands down so to each its own and both types have their values in different aspects.

Personally I'm speculating this bike because it looks so bloody (pardon) hot. But I'm considering using it as a transport bike because its so under-powered (as compared to my current 2-stroke ride), and my 2-strokes are going to cost if the petrol keep going up this way haha. But this bike better make >25km/L if not its not even comparable to SP in too many aspects (I would give in to a fair share of its looks though :)

Wah...flame time! haha..kidding..lol.

What you say is true, 2 stroke has its value. 4 stroke has its pros too . To each its own actually. I own a stroker and it sucks petrol like crazy. Thats the reason of getting another bike which must be a thumper and eats petrol with >30km/l (higher expectation.hehe)

if you manage to get a 2008 yamaha bike lineup brochure from AS Phoon, the very first page shows a R125. So should be coming?

The cover page is actually a R6.

Yes i have the brochure and call them up base on that, but still...:slapforehead:

12-13K??!?!?! i tot i can downgrade and get a yammie for a change..

the new r125 technology is better than Mito and rs125..

a price tag of 7k would be attractive..

i remember came across a vid in german on youtube, they did various performance comparisons on the new mito and r125. i dont understand a **** they said, but the final performance charts shows that, even though its a 4t vs 2t, it ended up r125's performances are either on par or slightly superior than the new mito, i think the new technology implemented on mito in order to pass euro3 emission test is really constraint its performance..

Rs125 on the other hand, it is most likely out perform both based on another comparison on rs125, r125 and cbr125.

7k wld be great, but i don think it will be anything less than 10.o_O

look wise i think mito sp525 is a real beauty! even though it has a pig face.. lol
