Back then, I think I was flipping the pages of a car / bike magazine going "okay, so those machines are for big guys..."

My god...I've just realized that I was a nut back then :slapforehead:

Yep... I was doing the same thing too and owning a bicycle with a Sturmey Archer 3 speed gear shift was like the top of the line mod you could have on.

How times have changed.

exactly. Over there is different. I've seen 13 year olds doing motocross stunts :giddy:

and speaking of scramblers, kids staying in the countryside ride their 80cc scramblers through the forest and reach school. Where's the TP? At the road side outside the pub

That's a no-mean feat!

This gal is really somethin'! Since the govt is always talking about grooming talents, how about they try their hands at grooming young talents in motor sports arena? (Of course, i'm putting aside the issue of licenses.... at least for the time being...)

I think the teenage years are the best years to discover and develop athletic inclinations!

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Minimum age for bikers in Singapore to get a Class 2B licence is 18 years old. Unless that ruling is changed, we can wait long long for our 13 year olds to start riding sportsbikes, what more, racing... :slapforehead:

look at the number of championships that they take part in..

and our own aspiring racers can only go to Pasir Gudang & play for leisure...

kid race, only on racing circuit.

their legal limit is 16 yr old to be allow on normal road.

yes, they r lucky to have parents tat train their kids young.

sillyporean parents r too timid to allow their kids on any racing events.

The truth is... there is no age limit on how young you can ride a bike on the track or let alone what cc of bike you ride on it.

Just need to sign the non-indemnity form only to waiver the track from all responsibilities should anything happen.

Here in the USA, kids under the age of 18 just need the parents/guardian to sign the consent form. In Singapore, they sign for us when we go for school excursions only. :faint:

I don't think he meant it that way.... I read it as, we just don't have the opportunity of taking part in so many organised races nor the kind of support from sponsors to pursue this sport.

Look at her sponsorships... I think even if there was a potential champion among those going to PG or Sepang, do you guys really believe some company will sponsor them???
