yesterday night got one car jammed brakes infront of me, the car just stop there to fetch someone wifout signaling his intention, worst somemore the car stopped at a junction @ an angle of 45 degree to the left, u imagine that, positioning the car this way while stopping at a junction, somemore i look at the driver n he acted like a dam blody cork

 

remind me of one time, filter road from CTE at AMK ave5, that stup!d car stopped at filter lane to pick up someone from road side..

 

imagine all cars and bikes exiting from CTE at even 50-60kmh (according to speed limit) but some are faster as just exited from expressway..

 

all jammed break and pressed horn... lucky for me that i could stop in time, so did the car behind me..

So if someone comes along and instigates you to race with him... and you decide to take up the challenge.

 

And the two of you go tearing down the road... and he loses control of his machine and kills himself.

Did I endanger that guy? No... I only gave him back his own medicine.

 

But if your view is otherwise... then I will say I really feel ashamed of what I did. So sorry.

 

Having said that... I really wonder what would you have done if they same thing had happened to you. What is the correct thing to do in a situation like this?

I already said that this is a very old thread... more than 2 years old.

 

I am not like before anymore. Anyone can instigate me on the road today and I will just ignore and not react coz I value my life more than them and if they want to ride recklessly... let their ego control their throttle... I cannot help them.

 

Having been to the tracks and learnt what my personal and machine limits are for the past 2 years.. I find that road riding is very much more dangerous than the tracks.

 

Ride safe. Control the ego and don't let it control the throttle.

Today while riding on d way to school.. saw this guy on sp with repsol paintwork.. the orange + black version.. and i was like..

 

Followed by a chi guy on a super 4 i was like :lovestruck:

 

And saw a TP with his bike by d side of CTE... and i was like.... :lovestruck: :lovestruck: :lovestruck: :lovestruck:

 

WHEN coming back frm sch, i was stayin inside d lane n jus followin a van..it looked like a fish market on d road coz d bikes wer like going here n there.. and no indicators when lane changing n so on.. i was kinda pissed to see dat.. more like worried for them.. then suddenly this jb bike come bside me horn 2 times then go off.. haha.. scary.

Wrong vehicle. Was using company's vehicle for delivery. People these days think they own the road. If they want to change lane and can't change, they either slow down or stop completely and try to wedge in

had car butting into my lane cos he wanted to make a left turn. there was a bus infront of me and he simply can't wait. why he can't let me get out to the next lane 1st before he squeeze in. If i hadn't watch out, I may have kiss his arse!

 

another arse driving a fast car had lots of space had to change lane v close to me. I really dun understand why. saw him coming v fast so i gave way & changed to 2nd lane and he still cuts me so close to get to e 3rd lane to filter. there was plenty of space in front and behind me. i can tell tat he was looking at his rear view mirror & so wat e f is he trying to prove? his car more powerful than my bike or this is his grandfather's owned race track?? freaking Prick!!

 

not only that, saw a road kill a kitty by e side of road this morn....sigh just one of those lousy days....

Okay, I agree with you. Perhaps riding off ie speeding off may give the other rider the impression that you're taking up his challenge. I think the best response is one of the following (in my limited experience):

 

- slowing down to signal you have no interest in his antics

- if possible, take a different route to your destination to avoid such a rider

- stop for a coffee ( if near Starbucks )

 

If anyone comes to a bad state because of something we have been contributing to (even if it appears insignificant at the time), I think we cannot totally be absolved of responsibility.

 

But I'm sure bro DeusExMachina will have his own response...

But riding today I agree was a nightmare. Many frustrated drivers in congested situations have little patience for other cars, let alone riders. Take care and ride safe.

But usually I just keep on using my intended route. Not gonna waste time, fuel, or effort to take alternate route just to cater for this kinda person. I might speed up and let him play catch up.

 

Or I might just purposely brake when he's behind, or even swerve into his lane time to time to distract him. Turn the tables a little bit la.
