scottoiler is about $180 including installation if i didnt remember wrongly.. from user comments its definitely good and effective.. extend your chain life..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

i notice tat some Kips n Kup has tis super super thin tyres like bicycle tyres.. are those suppose to make them run faster?

yes. its called sotong tyres. they usually have spoke rims to go with it. its lighter. just like bicycle tires. it is fast, but the downside is that, the tires not the tubeless type. so when a nail hits ur tires, thats it.:gun: :gun: :gun: :gun:

dark mode, or light mode?

also, thin tyres => smaller contact patch... u know the rest... everything is a trade off :goodluck:

Hmm... their bikes are also much lighter compared to phantoms... so its not too bad for them.

simply put it

sotong tyre=low safety level

phantom tyre=mid safety level,

the rest is actually up to the rider and how they ride.

2000km is ideal. some people do it at 2500, some do it at 1500. but do periodic check on ur eo level as well. when it gets low, top it up. dont let it dry up cause that happened to be once, and u have to prepare alot of money to get it fixed.

spark plug can last u a long time, thats what some people sa, but for me, i change my spark plug every 2 month.

check ur air filter. dont let it get too dirty. can get from ahboy $10 and diy or u can get a knn filter which cost like $75 and it last longer.

remember to check ur chain slack, with pillion or without pillion most of the time. and remember to lube ur chain regularly.

dark mode, or light mode?

2000km is good. Yes it will dry up and i dunno where it goes... I usually change my plug every 6000km or 8000km... brake and chain i changed at almost the 1 year mark... so yea, thats bout all...? Brake fluid also almost one year... if you ride ok, bearings also can last quite long... bottomline is change when u feel something is not right...

basically change when its time to change =)

where do i get chain lube? singer oil can be used? i saw some bike with a bottle of singer oil.. dunno wat is it used for

singer oil? maybe for other moving parts... but definitely not the chain! :bounce:

i'm sure u can pick up a can of chain lube/wax from your mech... otherwise, can buy at retail stores like Mustafa... some ppl also use used/new EO as chain lube... but as u will find, ur whole rear rim will get a nice fling pattern... u will get fling pattern too with most brands of chain lube on the market, although all lay claim to "won't fling!"...

for me, started off with green bottle Castrol chain lube... flings... some chicken chain lube from LAB... flings...

finally settled with Maxima chain wax... ~$20 for a big bottle... no complains liao...

if getting 2nd hand from bike shop, most likely the bike shop will "pao ka liao" whole package for u... if from private owner, then u need to get the bike specs (reg date, capacity, etc) to insurance company for a quote...

:offtopic: btw, ur alarm wire up liao bui?
