does spec 2 have the pillion hold bar? :s

spec 3 have.. but i think cannot fix on your bike..

has anyone service their super4 at this bike shop called New union company?

 

it is located inside the industrial estate behind safra.

 

How is the service?

This is my 1st time having this problem.After traveling my coolent will start to boil.As in u can really hear it boil,like water boiling.It is coming from the coolent reservoir.And below the engine near the rear break lever,there is 3 small tubing.There is hot steam coming out from there.So is this normal??Am riding a FBA Spec3.:cry:

No bro it is not normal.

1) Your coolant is rusty or the amount is low.

2) Your coolant hose is leaking. (Maybe due to the steam)

3) The radiator cap is often overlooked in common engine overheating problems.

 

Coolant hose is cheap can get at FJT.

Coolant itself is cheap. You can get normal ones $5?, Engine Ice $50+ or Motul at $22.

Always use distilled water if you want to use the $5.

 

Better get it checked before its too late.

Bro,riding s4 too & used to have dis prob.Can hear like water boiling.Better go to a bike shop u trust & have them flush & top up ur coolant.Most probably ur coolant is almost empty & rusty.Get it done soon cos wen a bike overheats,more $$$ is going to come out of ur pocket.Gd luck

dear CB400 lovers,

my name is Nabeel and am from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. I own a CB400 Super Four (Project Big-1) that sat idle for quite some time (say 4plus months) since I was away. I have changed the petrol, cleaned the spark plugs and air filter, need to change the oil filter. Need some help to understand if the loss in pick up and power is due to a dirty carburetor or is that there is anything else wrong?

Also need to know the following:

1. What is the correct K&N replacement oil filter for my bike?

2. What is the correct K&N replacement air filter for my bike?

 

My bike details are as follows:

HONDA CB400 SUPER FOUR PROJECT BIG 1

CODE R204 / COLOR R-204C

CHASSIS NUMBER NC31 – 1390739

ENGINE NUMBER NC23E – 1690741

What about the engine oil? It's a few months, they do degrade and sludges accumulate at the bottom.

yep, thats true. I am taking her to change the engine oil and for regular servicing this weekend. Planing to change the spark plugs and oil filter also. Will i need to do decarbing as well and will that solve my power issue?

I think that is a safe way to go...to clean and retune your carbs...as it might have its jets clogged up...that might solve your problem...

You may feel the difference after the new engine oil and the carb cleaning, since there's isn't any inherent problem with the bike.

thanks BioMoDiFIed shunoski, btw, do you guys have any idea about the K&N filters for the bike, if u do, could you give me the part numbers? From the K&N site, i see that the oil filter number is KN-303. Is that correct? Help needed with the air filter part number. Appreciate your feedbacks.

Hey S4Guys.

Need opinions on Full Face Helmet - which is better n why?

Filp-up n non flip-up?

Average weight? Currently, trying out a loan FF with flip-up thats weigh 1.8kg. Is that the norm? Also, the lighter the weigh the more expensive?

Better material?

Better protection?

Is M-Fizz FF helmet a good buy?

I think many peeks out there is also seeking similar opinions. I hoped this thread can help all that are in doubts.

its pretty normal for a flip up to weight around that. i would recommend nolan full face, pretty decent price at 200+ with a good safety rating from SHARP. with budget allows, can try stoner replice helmet, 1.4kg, pretty light

is there any well known problem of spec 2 from other spec? the reason why spec 2 is rare here?

 

spec 2 got no problems. ive been riding spec 2 for almost 4yrs now. dun confuse yrself and others.

my speedo light is totally blown, so wanted to change it when I was servicing my bike, but been to 2 shops so far, they not willing to do it !

 

1 gave excuse that they do not have the bulb, the other said too much work to open up and change the bulb...

 

 

which shop will be willing to do ? and not charge a high price for it?

MO section got quite a few selling LED bulbs, some of them change for you.. ah pek at non vtec thread can help if he still have the bulbs.

 

for proper shops that are willing to do, i am not sure.
