Ah pek, your coolant can mix with other coolant?

That time go bike shop to service starter motor, need to remove the carburetor.

As all my pipe and cable are not original, the mototiam uncle was having a hard time removing my carburetor.

End up remove my coolant pipe below to take out the carburetor.

Replace with new coolant, he added the powder to help prevent coolant leaking also(he say cannot tell me the name of the powder).

I still got some leftover of your coolant.

Was wondering if i can use it to top my if my coolant level is low.

Difference are non-vtec models operate with all 16 valves opened throughout whereas vtec models operate with 8 valves until the vtec kicks in. Only Project big 1 models have no power cut. There are power cuts on other models though. The positive side of owning a version S would be it's fuel consumption. Personally, my version S is using a yoshi firespec endcan and my FC would usually be around 400km when hitting reserve tank. My style of riding is more to expressway cruising though, to and from work. So, roughly once a week I will pump in JB and that cost me 20 sing dollars. Let's wait for the old birds to comment. Maybe they have a better opinion or answers than mine =)

Hey bro. Welcome to the club! For engine oil and coolant, I suggest you look for Ah pek. The reviews are good with his products. You can check out the other threads and read up abt it. I'm getting mine from him soon too. =)

Bro, I got similar issues with you too last time. William aka ah pek told me coolant can mix. No problem as it's main purpose is only as a cooling agent. Cheers!

wow! 400km before hitting reserve, tts pretty good... i realize that my bike seems to be able to travel further with esso petrol than shell petrol in msia... how about u guys?

in my opinion, no hard riding to maintain FC. warm up bike every morning, change gear at 5k rpm, rear spocket size 44 teeth. front back tyre size 110 n 150. with rear box n every sunday pump tyres front back 34 36 psi. my FC 24-25 km/l :) mostly travel express way abit more on normal road on sat. try to reduce uneccesary breaking, more on engine brake will be good. if can change gear at lower rpm might be better.

hi, got a few questions for ya:

1) how long or how do u warm up the bike usually? wad i do is on the engine and rev afew times den wear helmet den mount onto the bike and move off, is this the wrong way?

2) rear sprocket size 44 is the stock size?

3) 34 36psi = 234kpa 248kpa

4) i wuld travel on expressway everyday, does our meter 100km = 90km real speed?

Hmm. I think esso petrol feels heavier when I throttle. I'm alternating between petronas and shell V-Power petrols. Both from JB of course. =)

I usually light up a cigarette after I switch on. I think what you have been doing is perfectly fine. Ah pek told me this before but I forgot the explanation. LOL! Sorry ahh..

stock rear sprocket is 42T

100km/h on my meter = 95-96km/h clocked by GPS

There is no one way of warming up the engine. As long you don't on engine and whack straight to 12k rpm. Usually i let it warm up wear gloves helmet, then i touch the engine when i can feel the heat thru my gloves I slowly move off.

Too fast? yes and no. Yes too fast for tp :p Technically speeding.

But not too fast as at that speed the engine isn't really stressed out.

Hello fellow non vtec riders, just wanna share my experiences with you all. Check your coolant hose for signs of hardening or cracks. One of my hose just gave way and coolant started to flow like running water after every trip. It is advisable to change your hose if you havent done so for many years. Old bike mah.

Are you using an aftermarket exhaust?

Is your carbs or efi tuned?
