For those with rust problems, I bought this product called "Pye Rust Converter" from this hardware store in Kelantan Lane. :thumb:

The brown rusty exhaust reacted with the resin and formed a black compound which can also act as a primer. Used it on my rusty screws too. and they turned black, as per my black paintwork. Haha. But my fingers are all black now. :faint:

i want to DIY a on and off switch onto my headlamp... so that i can switch off my headlamp at morning to save battery... which wire should I connect to??

Don't worry... i'm a electronics grads... any pro out there just help me identify the wire... or what should is it.. then i can do the rest le...

And i also thinking of DIY a digital volt meter... see how much does all the components add up to.. maybe cheaper then those outside market... LOL

Ok.. Kelantan lane, you know where is Poy Huat? The screws shop.. This hardware shop is on the opposite side of the road, near to the roadside stalls selling the "karang guni" items. I'm sorry that I didn't note down the name.. Haha. There are only about 10 hardware shops there?

Anyway, its working great. The black compound sticks like new paint even after using my S4 for long (heated exhaust). Anyway, the product box claims that after the reaction, it is not possible for rust to form anymore. Managed to get rid of a lot of rust man.. Now my baby is black, not rusty. Hah.

i keep hearing clicking sound whenever I idle my ver-s. Is it time to service my valve? how much does it cost?

Bro, clicking when start or even during a warmed up engine operation? If during start, then its only the timing chain. That is a minor issue.

If even after warmed up.. Hmm. I only know that my timing chain is worn because of that slight "tick tick" sound during cold start.

Bro.. No point. Switching on that light in daytime might just save your life one day.

Voltmeter I saw Ah Boy selling it yesterday! But I didn't ask about the price. G'luck! :thumb:

just calculate my Fc again... 26km/L... WOW???:cheeky:

Haha. You sure you didn't whack your S4 when you just got it. All I know is that I tested the bike pick-up the first time I got it.. Revving to 6 - 7k before changing gear and still got roughly about 25km/l.

Ver S is known for its good fuel consumption, bro. Seems that you're interested in the Broquet fuel charger. $125.......... Maybe you can try and share with us S4 bros the result? If can reach 33 - 40km/l, I'm gonna buy it liao. :thumb:

Woah. You are accessorising your Ver S, while I'm repairing the important parts that need repairing. Haha.. And you bought yours for so much cheaper. With COE!

But frankly, I'm enjoying the experience so far. A lot to learn and has been learnt!

Sometimes I hear the "tick tick tick" sound after warmed up. usually I warm up for 5 mins, timed by my watch's countdown timer. is it critical to attend to the ticking sound? :(

hw much will it cost? :(

oh yeah.. btw.. the headlight bulb doesnt really take that much of our battery power. If the battery keeps dying with the headlights on.. it just goes to show that one electrical component isnt working or charging..

normal checks would include, rectifier and magnetic coil and how long you've used your battery..

btw.. switching off you headlights might cause you a $30 summon. Was caught during the day by tp..

I also installed the light switch so that it can save battery. As I know ours is not as chim as the Spec 3 whose light doesnt effect the battery drain. But my mech installed a small light inside so that when I off the light, this small light will act as dummy light. So at least if TP saw u also can see some light. That ligth doesnt effect much on the battery drain. since my battery still good. Unlike last year where it drained fast. sheesh... :sian:

Don't think so.. As Hondaman said, you'd probably have to let your mechanic do the small light for you. Tim17, yes both the signal lights are constantly on together with the headlight. When you signal, then it will blink.

If yours is no longer constantly on, then you'd have to change the bulb already. It's a dual filament bulb. One of the filament is responsible for the light being constantly on. Each bulb costs $5..

By the way, just came back from Johor. On the way there along BKE, had to switch to reserve already. Total damage: RM33. More or less about SGD$15. :thumb: Met a few S4's along the way. Also saw a rider in full red track suit riding a red Ducati 999 while coming back through Woodlands Checkpoint. :lovestruck:

Also, riding away from Woodlands checkpoint entering BKE, an uncle wearing the SBS uniform, riding a Kup commented "You maintain the bike very good ah!" I have a nagging feeling that he used to be one of the previous owners of my baby. Haha.. Add he overtook me and rode off. :faint:

Slow rider.. Buahaha. (More like trying to conserve precious fuel)
