Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

For class 2B really don't speed. It's too light. Get a higher cc bike. But then on another hand, it's really dangerous to speed.

pretty concerned after reading this statement

dear rider to be... think you seriously need to reconsider your attitude pertaining speed n safety. hope you're only kidding

riding a powerful beast like the haya or r1 is nothing like the "ride in the park" inside training centre. if you ride with a "i cant help it but speed" manner, its pretty much suicidal as the beast can hit unsafe speed without you realising. its only a matter of time you'll become a road menace and/or a road hazard to both yourself and others o_O

please use more sense and less sensual if you want to live to ride long... especially without all those scars and bruises

just my 0.00000000000000000000002 cents

good luck to your tp test... don't speed if you wanna pass

:cheeky:

On the bright side, at least she knows speeding is a problem. I know many others (you know who you're) who dun think it's a problem.

Hey guys,

I'm taking my Class 2b right now and i'm already worrying abt wad kinda bike i should get.

Hey, I think you shouldn't worry about what kind of bike to get. Concentrate on learning the techniques well first and get the coveted license!

I'm standing at abt 1.7m and am of medium build. A instructor at SSDC once joked that the bike looks like a bicycle with me riding it!

I'm standing at 1.71m and also of medium build. And yes, when I was learning at BBDC, the CG125 did look ridiculous with me riding it! Just be glad that you will not be touching the bike after obtaining your license!

I need a bike to commute to work and back and i don't wanna get one thats clutchless coz i'm dreaming of owning a ST11 one day and i fear that riding a clutchless bike will make me forget how to ride a manual one when i got for my class 2a a yr later.

Why don't you consider riding a Phantom? I'm riding it and it looks just nice with me on it! It is a manual bike and quite fuel efficient.

I'm also dreaming of riding a Super 4 Spec 3 and eventually moving on to FZ1.

Most of my guy frens recommended the scrambler but i'm a office worker and i do wear skirts sometimes so the scrambler is definitely out...help me out here guys!

Well, my advice is: choose a bike that you feel comfortable with. It's you who's riding it everyday! It's going to be your friend!

As for wearing skirt, you can always place your skirt in your top box (if you are going to fix it). Wear jeans or long pants when riding. It's for your safety!

Good luck in your lesson and your quest to obtaining your license to freedom! :thumb:

Stay  !

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Sorry dear, althought a bit off topic, wif too may pple surrendering their ic while on the road, i can't help but to comment on ur mentality, you don practise on the road, there is no time for you to react.

And the bigger the bike, the more serious you get yourself injured.

Lastly, you can ask all the old birds here, how many never took their first fall within the first year of getting the bike, jus that we all very heng tat we are still here talking. Sorry to talk like a father, mus go n attend to my baby girl. Chow!:cheeky:

True..I had 3 fall during my 1st year riding, 2 minor and 1 serious..To me, even thou i've been constantly riding for the past 6 years, everyday is something new to me..Practically learning something new while riding..

My suggestion would be a cub or a vespa like wat most of them already suggested to you..Good luck in getting ur 2B...

hey guys, i did say that i'm ready to give up my skirt...dont say till i so wad leh:dot:

I do think that wearing the proper attire is real sexy. just imagine skinny jeans tucked into riding boots and a snug fitting tee. wah...:cheeky:

as for my bike preference, i thot of a st11 at first but being a speed loving person, i think i'd go for a r1 or haya in the end. keke...

i'm still in the initial stage of getting my licence but i'm already considering buying a bike first to motivate myself. this is actually my 2nd time taking a bike licence coz i gave up after a while the first time.

i seriously think that i'll be the kind of person who will dress in riding attire coz of my love for speed. i know that i shouldnt be thinking this way but it just comes to me naturally. i just cant help but speed. :help:

Dear ts..

We understand your passion.. but i feel if you are only at the initial stage and already thinking of speeding.. i duno what you are going to tink of when u are waiting for ur tp..

Or rather, on another hand, if u are tinking of speeding in this initial stage, when u go out otr to prac 6 onwards, you might be going too slow cos your mentality is not ready.

Why dun u let your hair loose, relax and take things one at a time?

You in fact need not decide for a bike first, or rather to buy one to motivate u at the moment.

Though important, you can have a dream bike and work from there towards your dreams..

Nevertheless, best of luck for your practicals, and pls listen carefully to the instructors for the advice they have for you as we can treat the circuit as our playground, but not on the road anymore... :thumb:

Dun be an idiot. You live your life and I live mine.

The handling part will be a worry, especially for bikes that are not familiar with.

Hey guys,

I'm taking my Class 2b right now and i'm already worrying abt wad kinda bike i should get.

I'm standing at abt 1.7m and am of medium build. A instructor at SSDC once joked that the bike looks like a bicycle with me riding it!

I need a bike to commute to work and back and i don't wanna get one thats clutchless coz i'm dreaming of owning a ST11 one day and i fear that riding a clutchless bike will make me forget how to ride a manual one when i got for my class 2a a yr later.

Most of my guy frens recommended the scrambler but i'm a office worker and i do wear skirts sometimes so the scrambler is definitely out...help me out here guys!

ride a bike you can afford, you like for your 2b.Save it up for the future. You aren't advised to ride with skirts anyway regardless of what bike.Vespa to me is kinda un-nice to ride(well thats for me) and yea. Choose wisely and stay alive.

I take my bike practicals once a week and everytime i go back, it feels like i'm starting to learn all over again...i really can't think of what it'd be like to go clutchless for a year den go for my 2a. I'm so forgetful that my friends fear that i might become a roadkill myself. haha...

i think 1 year is just enough for me to keep practising before i go for my 2a so i'd really prefer a bike with clutch.

As for me wearing skirts, i always wear short denim skirts to work and they always ride up my thighs. Even if i were to give up my skirts to get the bike, i'll need a bike with space to carry my stuff like my documents.

I've discussed the possibility of a Honda Wave with my frens but they all say i'd look like im riding a bicycle...I would like to get a SP but then i find it too noisy.

Though 1.7m might not seem very tall in words, maybe u guys should meet me in person. I can recall that when i took my 1st bike practical, there was guys a bit bigger than me who kept complaining that the bikes are heavy but i find them ok for me. haha...

It seems to me that the choices of 2b bikes in singapore is really very very limited. Maybe they can up it to 400cc for 2b instead. heehee...

getting something manual gear is what I always had in mind when starting to learn. The same goes for car.Its better to learn things the hard/professional way and you'll know how to ride/drive the rest ;) hopefully they'll change to 400cc for 2b.But for now I doubt so.Maybe during my grandchildren's era probably.
