Hi, just got my Spec 3 a few days ago. The engine on the right is too expose and my leg is too long, kana burn while i riding on the bike. Anyone encounter the same issue as me and any advice how do i prevent that?

haha eagle spread lor ... both leg open wide wide ....

 

never encounter b4. try not to place close to engine

this been discussed before. change the way you put and lift your leg, if not you can get used by being burnt til you scared.

Haha... Leg open wide wide, then my bike will "tiao disco" liao, wobble here and there...

haha.. you also remember..

 

you'll get used to it(meaning position so that you wouldnt get burn) after a while..

your ride is new, so need some time to accustom to it..

 

i think most riders more or less get "kissed" by their rides sometimes..

i started a similar tread sometime ago and kena flamed by some ppl in the forum.

BTW u can try the following:

1. Dun sit to much to the front.

2. Put the ball of your feet on the footpeg instead of the arch of your feet.

May 2005 - July 2007: Honda Phantom TA200 (FU 3*** S)

July 2007 - Dec 2016: Honda CB400 Spec III (FBB 7***X)

Dec 2016 - Aug 2017: Yamaha FZ1N (FBD 4***E)

Aug 2017 - Present: Kawasaki Z1000SX (FBF 6***B)

100% agreed... Juz wear jeans. For me, even wearing shorts also so far never. So juz take care...:thumb:

Haha, sometime if i wanna ride to coffee shop to buy something to munch also need to wear jean meh...?? I think its a bit stupid

i think 3 point engine guard will helps abit.. but then its up to individual, coz some say even the guard oso will get hots... but to me the guard will definitely not as hot as a direct contact wif engine...

then walk lor...s4 is a naked bike...engine hot burn leg is predictable.

jeans protect ur skin touch wood if something happens.

do you have a 3-point crash bar?, i dun usually ride with long pants or jeans. just be careful loh..

but seriously, waterwetter does not help TS not to be burned by his CB400 engine..

yes, waterwetter is a good coolant for bikes, most 5degrees lower than normal coolant..

i bet no one with water wetter on their bike rests their calf on the engine cover right?
