Hi Everyone, is this thread still alive?

I gotten a KRR ZX150 one weeks back, no license yet so laid-up put inside carpark.

I warm it up every 2 days for 5 ~ 10mins, but yesterday my low beam doesn't seem to lightup but my high beam still works.

Has anyone encountered this before?

When I bought my bike I ask my seller, he said "bike no prob good condition all stock standed seting xcept pipe only u need to change standed stock"

After LTA, i ride home i noticed bike got high pitch humming sound, I say to myself nevamind lah mayb its like tat..

My fuel consumption oso very high, slow slow ride oso very hard to touch 20km/l wan to pengsan.

wat else ah.. huh.. i remember.. the clutch oso very hard, ride many trafic light my hand pain like wan to drop.

pipe oso sound nice but quite loud i scared.. engine oso abit noisy, not like other pple kr....

Check your jetting . Rabak ah 20km/l . Mine 29-30km/l if ride relax 6-7 rpm . If not need wash set your carb back also . Stay tamp okay ah a lot of workshop near there easy . If I got problem I need ride to kaki bukit far ah haha . Btw got full service your bike already ? Must open up see after your buy . Sometimes also seller say only no problem but when u take over only waah 1 by 1 things come . Buat pehel je motor hahah

Continue my story..

 

Feeling the pinch of high petrol & 2t consumtion, i began to hunt for a standed stock pipe including mufler wit ful stoper in carosel. The search was very dificult as many used pipes & muflers had been modded. Only after making many 'mistakes' in finding a good set, finaly i found the rite one..

 

I instaled it & use main/pilot/needle 270/22.5/centre as recomended in original manual. I canot get the corect seting, somewhere near but not perfect. i jz rode it to work daily & tried to fine tune it during my free time. I tried tuning for a week until almost give up...

 

Sudenly i remembered about the airbox, i opened it up & realized it was empty with many drilled holes. Covered the holes wit duct tape, bought the snorkel from carosel & sponge filter from agent. Instaled it & walah!! i got the seting. So for standed carb seting must with the exhaust, airbox, block, carb, electrical part all no mod ful stock standed.

 

Now my mileage can hit from 30km/l with rpm not more than 5k.. to 20km/l if always hi-revs.

I oso adjusted my 2t pump to standed seting but add abit 2t into petrol tank when pumping ful. Wah! Tis bike 2t oso can last for quite long.

 

Now balance my block scratch havent setle..

My mileage slightly better then yours, RPM 5-6 26km/L if high-rev, around 23km/L.. But now old liao.. no more high rev.. hahahaha..

 

 

Been Riding for a month now... I'm glad I survived...

It appears some drivers are stupid to mess with P-plate riders. The P-plate shows that there's a huge chance of this driver or rider making mistakes, why on earth would you want to tail-gate them sia...

 

Everything the SSDC Instructors taught me has been very useful especially the golden rule, as it appears the right of way doesn't goes for us riders. Vehicles happy happy signal and cut into our lane without any concerns.

 

However for checking back before moving off and whether to lane-split or not to is still a doubt to me.

 

 

The first few days I always check back before moving off, what I realize is when I do my check back the car behind me is already starting to move towards me liao....

And also even though our road tax isn't that expensive, that doesn't mean we don't deserve to ride on a lane right?

 

Scenario 1,

I'm riding in the middle lane, in-front of me is a van. The Van goes to right-lane and then goes back to middle lane after I pass him and follow me from behind. The van then goes to left lane, drive next to me, signal right and turn right into my lane forcing me to lane-split.

This is the very first time I gotten so angry that I pointed middle finger at him before I speed off.

 

Scenario 2,

Whenever I'm in the junction turning right, I come to learn that most drivers don't really knows how to control they're speed. Most of this lousy drivers are driving auto car... Speedup and Jam brake, speedup turn right Jam brake again... "Are they trying to make me rear-end them and claim my insurance or trying to turn me into sandwich patty?"

 

 

Sometime I rather I get a ticket than to get hit by a vehicle from behind.

I think I should buy myself a Gopro and report those reckless drivers to TP...:gun:

 

Just be careful of every vehicle on the road, we are on the losing end..

 

Any KRRs here noe where to do the original rims make the sides look like chrome or polished metal.

Two places for you to go..

 

Go malaysia if you wan cheap and good, go Singapore if you want easier access.

Same price for most of the stuff BUT one is RM one is SG. haha..

My khakis are mostly married or with kids (same as me) hahaha..

 

Have to ask those kids who have grown up.. But I doubt KR will be still around when that happens for my case..

haha.. surviving well and lucky I managed to slow down good enough before the accident happen.. Crack fairing and head bracket abit off, mirror crack. Body? Last thing a biker will check.. whahaha!

 

Only a few blood arm and knee, (despite with gears) scratches on my FF.. Lucky nothing in my body crack..

 

nowadays it's quite hard.. But trust me.. Go down kallang KFC on friday and saturday.. You will see at least 20 bikers, or max 50-100.. haha..

 

Just go look for other groups and join them for a chill session and you might find your buddies from them. found one for you..

anybody knows a good shop that provides inspection services for my KR? i've been using the same pipe since 8 years with no problem for inspection then last year vicom says my pipe cannot pass. loan another pipe from carousell but the guy has sold off his pipe already.

planning to send it to shop for inspection then sell it off to a buyer waiting to buy my bike. anybody knows any shop that has legal pipe for inspection?
