bro, when people decarbonize the exhaust. They do not need to cut the stomach. Only reason being cut is emptying the filter in the middle like what WAYLIANG mentioned.

its called (tong exhaust), yes its illegal but don worry too much. Using decarbonize as a reason can be quite safe. The tp are more interested in mod of endcan.

btw i think out of 10 kr, at least 7 have done it. Its a norm tong-ing to reduce emission resistant. Hope it helps :)

cheers

when they cut or potong or tong its just removing the cat or catalyser from the center of the stomach. the cat converts harmful exhaust emission to lesss harful ones but they also have a slight loss in power around 1 hp or less than that. but it also makes the bike lighter. so ya. tp care more about endcan modifications cause of noise pollution. tp doesnt really care about whether u cut ur stomach or not unless bring base where they do a full check ah.

like wad blacksun said, most krr nowadays have it cut. so o worry.

decarbonise is to remove unburnt hydrocarbons and carbon deposits from the pipe internals. which usually results in a little lesser smoke.

hi bro, any idea where to buy original krr end can and stomach in singapore?

If in JB,theres a lot of motorshops and slightly cheaper pricing. A typical original end can is abt RM60 only at Johor Jaya.

If you are more concerned about have a balanced combination. You will have to try a few. A good combination = on gear 5, your bike should be able to push up to 10.5k rpm min(some can reach higher till 13rpm) and when you shift to gear 6 you should still be increasing the rpm. Instead of getting struck at a certain rpm.

of course there are insane rider around playing with ktm pickup style. And those pilot riders who love insane top end they can drag forever. There is no prefect combination. Only a combination which suits your own style. :)

just my opinion

cheers

haha.. drag forever.. :p

come come.. north south highway. heehee~~

as per below mentioned and dra3k3ter also.. :)

dun worry.. mine also tong.. 3 year already.. i see TP at least once per week.. once even slow down beside me and see me and my end can.. but move off after he see finish.. :)

heard from my mechanic that KR open pipe also not much use. stomach is the more important one.

u can try 3 bikes..

1)one with empty stomach only.. (very common)

2)one with empty end can only.. (Unlikely)

3)one with empty stomach and end can (VERY HARD & only at night UNLESS plate number doesn't start with *F*)

last one is the most power follow by 2nd last and first..

reason?

1) TP find that not very power and most riders should be able to control (close one eye)

2) TP find a risk as it's abit power and noisy(open one eye)

3) TP find a huge risk that it will endanger any rider as it has too much power. (open 2 eyes)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
