Thanks for ur reply.. this definetely help me alot ...got to change my tyre 1st ..cos a few times e-break fish tail liao :giddy: will update u guys the price once i get it changed

btw what is valve?? how is it like when valve is chocked???

i still don't quite know kr ... and there seem to have a container near my horn... do i need to top up anything into it

imagine valve as an additional inlet for air when the RPM of yr bike engine reaches a certain point e.g 7 or 8K RPM

this additional air can help boost the performance of the engine

KRR has a valve built in and its good to utilise the valve at least once in a while to prevent it frm clogging up such that it fails to work properly in the long run

the cap of the container located right in front of the petrol tank should be the radiator

do not open this cap when bike is running or when engine of the bike is still warm

inside radiator is radiator water...which is used to cool the engine down during operation

Don, have u serviced ur bike at the motordiam near keat hong before?? is the price okiez??

thanx guys.

used to see only 2 motordiam there

1 is for those chopper/harley bikes

the other is for the more normal bikes

have been to the shop for more normal bikes before

only been there for minor stuff like chain tightening and some simple electrical fix

never did any major stuff there before

pricewise their labor costs is quite high

overall = stay away unless u require urgent repairs

my recommendation if u dont mind higher prices = combined motors at Sin Ming industrial...its quite popular...have been there personally w/ friend...they are relatively honest

hey guys, i've gotta service my bike soon. could u guys tell mi a list of wat they usually service and how much it'll cost?? and idea where's the best place to service my kips?

Racewerks (In Alexandra Village), Dili Trading (in Ubi), Mah Motorparts (Opposite Sim Lim Tower) are good places to get your bike done at reasonable rates. Prices may vary slightly because of the quality of products used.

Things that are often changed:-

Engine oil (Aka gear oil)

Spark plug

2T oil (Top up)

Things that need periodic checks:-

Tires (& tire pressure)

chain & sprocket set

brake pads

coolant level

There are markings on your swingarm, they look like this | | | | |. If you've already tightened your chain to the max on the right, then it's time to change. If your chain is out of shape, also time to change. Too rusty, also time to change.

As for sprocket, if the teeth have already become sharp at the ends, then it's time to change. Out of shape also time to change.

Usually people change them together to make the wear and tear even. :thumb:

Very strangely enough, I have discovered 2 days ago that my chain is still "good" but my sprockets are not. Miracles happen when you take good care of your chains (Proper tensioning & regular greasing).

Yes. Chains & sprockets MUST be changed together.

That's stock for stock IRC tube-type tires. 90/90 - 200kpa and 110/80 - 225kpa

If you changed your tires, check the markings on the tyre. If it is not printed on the tires then got to use 'agaration' liao. :thumb:

First time I tighten, I never maintain, no lube no nothing. 2 weeks later, loose again. This time, I tightened and lubed the chain every week or 2, until now, about 7 months liao, still no need to tighten. :cheeky:

Don't depend on them or assume this happens automatically. Ask them or learn how to do it.

Anybody with a cam and some pictures, please post them up here for the benefit for everybody.

There are no differences between a worn sprocket off a KRR and one from a RCV211.
