Now on the serious side.... my ALAI helmet has taken quite a beating from the abuse I gave it in it's lifetime (Nope I didn't crash with it but my stinky hair made life a living hell for it). I guess it's time for it to pass the baton. What helmets out there are good value for money? I'm looking at a open face.

I've been to LAB recently. There's a new brand called PRO. Nice design with removable linings. Think my friend bought it for $45.

You'd always be pissed if you have a bunch of clowns in your community!! Dun mistake my slamming as real here in this thread. It's always said in jest and meant positively, however if you have really pissed me off, you'd know it!!!! All hell break loose!! Heh heh...

Testimony from me. Not environmentally friendly (As if I care), not a nice bike to casually ride around town (Going slow & keeping to speed limits), seat is rock hard but otherwise this is one hell of a bike!! Low priced, spares are cheap, power is decent (For a small mosquito), handling is fantastic, what else can you ask for?

how come not enviromental friendly? not a nice bike to ride casually? others? cool firespitter u studyin now? wat about the others riding the bike any testimonies or izzit jus the same as firespitter said?

not afraid to share some of the bad points i find abt KRR so far:

1. Fuel gauge grossly inaccurate (prob can be solved by using mileage travelled as a gauge for amt of petrol left in tank instead)

2. exhaust stomach rusts more easily than most of the other bikes (require simple respraying of affected portions every 3-4mths)

3. valve require regular servicing (not exactly a performance demanding rider myself...so this problem doesnt worry me too much)

4. rear pillion seat easy to steal (can be resolved by adding of steel bracket)

every model of bike will have its short comings...

anyway time for some gd points:

1. fuel consumption considered good amongst other 2B sportsbikes (vey important factor to me cause i travel quite long distances on my bike)

2. the original paint has got damn good lacquering done (dont wash bike also the bike can appear glossy)

3. reasonable performance

its good to understand the shortcoming of the few models of bike u have shortlisted and weigh out the differences and yr priorities before committing yr $$ to it

:goodluck:

On any bike, pillion will slip forward if you brake harder. That's the law of physics, unless you know of a way to counter that!

Yes to a seasoned thief, 3 seconds is all he needs to take away your rear seat. I'm sure many bikes aren't designed to be theft proof. Afterall, they were designed by EDUCATED & CIVILISED people, not low down scumbags who get kicks out of rendering others misery.

when u take out the steel handle bar from the rear seat, it leaves a gap for ppl to use a screw driver and take it out easily.

i totally agree.

got a question to ask. i left my bike on for a while the other day. think abt half an hr and then the temp and idling needle went up. temp needle going up is fine but how come the idling needle will go up??

Feb '05 - Nov '06 ---> KRR150RR (FS7177Z)

Nov '06 - Feb '07 ---> CBR400RRR (FM3727C)

Mar '07 - Nov '14 ---> CB400SI (FT1733K)

Nov '14 - Now ---> NC750X (F******K)

ohh i tink all fuel guage are inaccurate.. only to wat extent... so this one is super inaccurate? yeah heard alot about the pipe... then wats wrong with the valve? why needs so much attention? and the seat.. like dat jialat... lucky my hse downstairs no kawa.. so chances are no ppl will steal my seat?? hahaha =X but my fren once told me.. bike parts are all open.. jus see when they gonna get stolen only.. right? wat ever oso can take out one.. see if suey got this kinda ppl walk pass ur bike anot.. yeah but pity, no racing patinwork.. else would be nicer right?

The mechanic is correct in his diagnosis. Although the parts are cheap but the work is extensive.... hence the costly bill.
