interesting...so the 2t could have acted as a "softener" for the carbon?

it just a speculation , nothing conclusive , unless a few someone else had done , the same thing , we need some sample of those without 2 t and those have patial and those complete 2 t to be better inform

would anyone want to contribute with some pictures and observation

@Ezzy , true ,it just speculation nothing concrete . let other ppl contribute with more actual experiences then let the individual decides , who knows you could also benefit by designing n patent a dispense for the process

if it is ...the usual procedure of decarbonisation for 2 stroker ..esp exhaust will be obsolete..

carbon deposits take time ...to harden...

just look at the piston head...harden carbon deposits can be observed..

there is no denying that adding a bit of 2t will improve the ride.in the near term....but at what cost...

the cost is ovehauling..down time of your bike and the bad performance of the bike as the milage climbs..

vs..fuel savings and so called smooth ride..

everyone will have a different conclusion...the current milage is too low to show the long term effect of adding 2t....

30000km later better picture will emerge...good or bad??? you will only know..as the time trial is just too long..

i may not be around to see your conclsions..

K now try riding using 4T as 2T in 2 stroke bikes. It is possible.

actually can be counted as billions btw do you have a sample of your piston , to verify is the carbon form is it hard or powdery , i suspect the latter addition of 2 t serve as a "softener" or certain effect to break up the carbon

As requested, the pictures of the used burgman's piston (~84000km) without using 2T.

Saw the layer of carbon deposit too?

great pict ! how was the carbon properties ? powdery ? easy to remove? (try light scratching with nail over the top of the piston)

the side is clean , i was told that it's a sign of some leakages , causing some loss of power? dont know how true is it.

comparing the our piston, i see there is more carbon deposited on mine . supposition will have to wait much later for another top overhaul .

The carbon is quite hard, can be removed a little bit only by nail.

Yes ur right. The EO is leaking from the piston about 500ml/WEEK, that's why the side of the piston is shiny like what ezzyoiler thinks normal piston should be.

Normal used piston should have a significant carbon layer evenly distributed on it.

ok , r u still using back the old piston or replacing with new one .

want to trial your scoot with 2 t to see how the effect like ? after 50 k n see about anymore leak

Using the new piston rebold from slightly bigger one.

Started to use 2T a few times on this fuel-injected scooter liao, so far so good.

pulled my spark plug yesterday. the tip of the plug look ok. tan/slightly brown.

problem is there is a layer of wet looking carbon deposit around the thread area. will throw some PEA aka techron into the fuel for some cleaning for the next few tanks.

Riding a CBR150R due for scrap in October.

Just stumbled upon this forum. Quite interested to try out, coz what the heck, it's only 6 more months to scrap.

Just concerned about carb tuning :|

Engine much hotter than before. That's abt it. Should i be worried/concerned?

not much info to guess , but i suggest u be xtra careful doing your daily ride m pre riding checks

Ok, radiator leak the cause of it. Been revving too hard for too long. Or it might've been that causeway jam: /

radiator leak could be due to coolant expanded due to overheat. Make sure the coolant fan is on.

from what I've check and have friends tested, 2T into 4 stroke engine is fine.. giving u better response and "prevention" of piston jam for long trips..

Just put a small amount will do.. no need pour in that much like 2 stroke bike.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
