Stock is good...Choose your weapon wisely and enjoy it...you can have all the $$$$ to mod and in the end you can't make full use of it....

Other than the Bridgestones and Dunlops, I have used only Avon. And my personal experience is that it sucks, skids very easily and traction its unreliable even on a dry day. The rubber too smooth after a few months of use.

any brand will suffice for daily riding.

do not read overseas forum cos they do 85% track

& 15% being towed on the back of pickups!!

locally, most ppl go for branding like its a status thingy but

only a handful will push the tires to its capacity.

see the z, x ratings and you'll have a fair idea of

what i'm talking about.

compound wise.. c'mon if higher percentage h'way riding

then get a harder compound type.. let's be real, how many

corners do you take per day?????

bloody overkill if anyone goes for the "stickiest / tackiest" tires

when the required tire warming hasn't even commenced!!

it really boils down to the rider (proper tire warming etc), little to do with tires

Motorcycle = $15K

Tyres (Lasts 15,000km) = $350 1 set

Yours truly is an average joe riding a average bike, but never saves on tyres or brakes.

Also, its not uncommon to see bikes with almost botak tyres at the bike shop.

Come on...if you have problem paying for such essentials (& not exactly costly, given mileage these stuff last), then probably should not be riding.

Most of the time i am using Michelin, for my car/bike.

My Michelin Anakee 2 costs me $490 for a pair and it dont last as long as the Pilot Sports 2 i used on my previous bikes!

Another brand i will consider is Bridgestone.

Always use the best type of tyres suitable for my vehicle and type of riding.

They are the only point of contacts keeping you on the road.

Never scrimp on tyres and brake components.

Slow down abit, smell the air and enjoy the scenery.

Caught the touring bug once again!

Dunlop tt900 is soft compound and good grip, in its price range it is the best for me. This time I tried contnental contitwist sm 130/70 r 17 for my rear tyre, as dunlop doesnt have that size, the compound is very hard. So far so good. But shape very funny, it is bulging in the center, front tyre is dunlop.
