Hi, a couple of us ride up to JB almost every weekend for dinner and coffee. Be glad if you could join us. I am riding a Sportster as well, XR 1200.

as for this weekend, you be a good father ... and I have a friend who never ride past the causeway as well, but he will be joining us for this trip. So you let me know if you are keen in the cameron highland trip k. :cheers:

Ace Custom Tony, moved back to JB to semi retire. for Harley servicing and repairs,  i recommend Sanfu at Kaki Bukit.   Just google it.  They are efficient both in cost and time taken.  Simple

interesting..didnt know handlebar has bike wash service, what the charges like?

 

It's at the back of Handlebar and the charges are quoted by Dnish. I think GP bike wash still reasonable and definitely cheaper than Handlebar, even with inflation.

 

I think its $30 for wash or $40 for wash/polish. I dont often go there, except when my wheels and spokes are too dirty for me to bother with. They do a great job. Sundays are best time to go, I think they open around 3 or 4. It gets crowded with bikes coming in from Malaysia needing a wash. But again, nice excuse to drink and eat while waiting.

 

I had heard they may be losing their lease as Gilman heights gets redeveloped, so on a month to month basis til the govt decides what to do.

 

so Handlebar will be no more? Looks like I have to eat there and take photos of the place before redevelopment starts. Hopefully they'll still be there around August. I'll be back by then.

Its a wedding convoy thats being filmed by the Travel Channel with Ian Wright. They then take him to some of the sites in SG. Invited all HOG members, but I had a meeting in the AM so couldnt ride.

 

Not all HOGs are invited, as theres also other MC's attended.

Condition a little dusty but otherwise as good as new

All,

 

I have these speakers on my windshield. They are 100w powered by a 100 w amp. Does anyone know if any shop sells something similar in 200+w? The 100w amp is too much for the speakers.

 

Around town, the speakers are fine even with my ff helmet. But would like a bit more power for the NS 110+ cruise.

 

Btw, went with about 10 riders to Kong Kong on Sat. Great ride, Avg about 140 til rain. Bike with new shocks is finally stable at speed!

Tell you guys something I saw today ...

 

Went to VICOM to inspect a bike, saw a Harley being hauled in by a LTA patrol bike, asked to line up to get his bike inspected. Harley rider was in his club colours, looked very indignant. After my inspection I spoke with the bike inspector who inspected my bike:

 

ME: Do you get this a lot?

 

INSP: Very common one, this type

 

ME: This one how? Can pass or not?

 

INSP: This one confirm liao, come in that time already so loud.

 

ME: What is the punishment?

 

INSP: $500 first time, next time $1,000. Dunno why these riders spend money so they can kena spend more money to give garment.

 

ME: What bike most common?

 

INSP: RXZ and Harleys.

 

ME: So you want to pass him also cannot ah?

 

INSP: Inspection not me, I can only do road tax. Need special inspector one.

 

ME: (in my mind) confirm liao liao.

 

I think be careful, guys, the work goes on for the LTA.

Just get the helmet lock off eBay. Price should be the same as if you can obtain locally. If not, just get a padlock.

 

eBay also has those helmets. I think Batam sells some of those half-cap for cheap. As for the snap-on helmets, if you want those normal sized helmets with thick paddings, Regina and LAB has. If you want those vintage-racer look, eBay, or look for forum user '736cc' (Marco).

Yup ....same advice...

get it off ebay, it could be even cheaper than locally...

or get a gd padlock... (there are many models available in Mustafa & at a very good price)

 

Helmet wise, the 1st one confirm nt psb approved...

get the later & use snap on visor mate

I have a question on renewal of insurance. I bought a brand new harley last yr july with hire purchase from May Bank. 1st yr insurance was comprehensive 1st party. My insurance is due for renewal next month and i was told that i cannot downgrade my insurance to 2nd party as long as im still on hire purchase. Has anyone here encounter this situation before? Anyways to go about doin this? =(
