oic..my bike got another problem that i just encountered : my pick up is not as powerful as before and it feels quite heavy when i trottle.. even on top gear its not very smooth.. people pls tell me what to do!?!?! thanks s

Good solution but..At every junction when you stop you wanna switch off and on then kickstart your bike izzit?

 

I encountered the same thing before..My advice to you is to adjust the clutch lever so the biting point is a bit further away..That way its easier to go to neutral and also lengthens the life of your clutch thingy (whatever they call it I forgot) Ahaha..

 

As for pick up slow..Maybe your foot is subconciously pressing on the foot pedal? Or maybe your pads are too near? Just some possibility I can think of..

i wanna ask..how much is it to change my filter to K&N filter?

 

and each morning or after a long time after i off my bike..when i want to start it up..most of of the time i have to choke it first..why is this so?is my spark plug going off? coz i heard the more you choke your bike,the engine heats up more easily..is this true?

 

and lastly..just asking la although i think this is normal. After riding, when i off my bike, there's this tick tick tick sound in the pipe?normal or abnormal?

Can't help you with the first few..But the tick tick sound is normal..I notice it too..When I ask my friends they say that its normal and nothin to be worried about..

 

Niwaes..Anyone know how much to change the speedometer cable here in SG? Think mine goes KABOOM this morning..Just got in PIE and was about to hit 100 suddenly the speedometer go down so fast I thought my engine die..Ahaha..

The ticking sound is due to the metal cooling down (Contraction). Nothing to be worried about.

 

For the speedo cable, trace from your front wheel. There should be 2 cables. One is for your brake, and the other is the speedo cable. Trace that all the way up to the back of the speedo and replace and route your new cable the same way as the old one. Very easy to do.

as for heavy throttle..... y not try decarbon your pipe...

knn filter not recommended liao. if rain, water will go inside ure engine, making slower (purpose of airbox is to protect engine). its a waste of money only. sux petrol like water. but its fast i admit. for pickup. distance lose liao.

 

early morning start engine cold mah. try this,

 

preparations:

regular service spark plug (i use ngk g force size 8)

set rpm to 1.5

 

actual do-it:

on petrol tank

make sure lights are off, dont want any short circuit liao

den kick. without turning the throttle or choke whatsoever

warm up b4 goin

 

works 4 me.

yah..thats true..exactly..if possible dont try choking ur engine always coz it may not be good for ur engine..for my bike, rain or shine, cold or hot, morning or night or in any circumstances that it may seem, i will not choke my bike and my engine and got use to it..so i no need to use choke..but i have to kickstart about 2-3 times den the engine will begin running..
