Motorcycling

1) Set your alarm for a good hour.

2) Have a ho jiak breakfast.

3) Throw your bag into the bike box.

4) Wear a cool motorcycle jacket as you walk out the house.

5) Use the bike to filter the crazy traffic here.

6) enjoy the chio bu stares when you stop at the traffic lights.

7) Arrive at work relaxed and refreshed.

Riding the bus

1) Get up super early. KNN

2) Makan breakfast like in BMT.

3) Walk 10 minutes to the bus stop.

4) wait

5) Try to squeeze in with all the FT in the smelly bus, sometimes standing on the entrance steps. WTF?

6) Stop at EVERY bus stop.

7) Get off and walk 3 minutes to office, hot and sticky.

8) Arrive feeling depressed, knowing you have another 8 hrs and repeat the above.

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

1.)anitime wana go out,no worries take wat bus,bus stop far or not mus walk.

2.)no nid wait for bus, sumtime wait wait wait, wah piang!bus full uncle say wait for next bus..=(

3.)no nid entertain smelly funny people on board,squeezeee2 wit u...if ure a lady, some just purposely squeezzeeee and then touch2..like those banglassss ccb.

4.)mrt,peak hour crazily smelly pack, till ppl push u kiss the train windows.cannot take it.

5.)avoid quarelling wit inconsiderate people.

good thing bout public transport is,can go out in large group and have more bonding wit ur family and friends.

bad thing bout riding-rain,wear nice2 also no use....if u style ur hair, reach the place have to re-style.

however i stil wud say having own transport makes you happy though you spend more....

you save time whereever you go.

buying a transport is sometime buying time=)

for example, tampines to dover mrt= duration 20-25mins(including warming up n parking)

by mrt alone is 45mins,from ma house to dover 1hour 20mins..so one day safe 1hr...its alot of time which money cant buy.

again its up to individual, some will come to me and sae, public transport cheaper....

one month bus n mrt concession already 90+$

depends on individual.

riding still the best if weather is good,no problem in trafic jam, parking is very cheap sumtimes free, most importantly save your time.

~Please Ride N Drive Safely.~

if u cant, its ok,but dont bring harm to other ppl.

wana die,go die alone.dnt bring innnocent ppl along.

OKae!

Yea, the one time i had to take mrt to work... On a friday.... at 730 at woodlands....

Oh My Goodness.......

It's just horrible, the crowd, the squeeze, the airlessness... don't know if it's me, but it seems really seem more squeezy since the last time i took the train around 3 years ago...

Taxi, after midnight, a trip from east to west can buy my bike good petrol plus good 2T that can last me for a week and a half.

i rather be smelling the carbon monoxide on the road than to smell the unholy concoction of body odour in buses.

When touring, its usually the rider that give way first before the bike itself.

got box got tour.

once i took the mrt after 4years of motorcycling, i got real train-sick within 5mins.

Rain is the only factor that cause me to go public during peak hours. Driving during peak :help:, no thanks, bad for engine cooling system, oil wear down faster.

Only time when I take public transport, bike needs to be left overnight in workshop, eg: spray paint/major repairs, or when I have to consume alcohol eg: wedding dinner.

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

Bike is better in the sense that you're in control of your own destination.. where to go and when. But there are times where public transport can be useful. I occasionally enjoy taking pub with the missus, because I think pillioning is a pain in the arse haha. Not to mention, I try not to ride into town area especially on weekends, the ERPs and parking is a royal pain. But overall, I definitely prefer riding then taking public. Gimme a wave over a bus anytime man.

Heavy rain = public transport

Going out with many friends who got no personal transport = public transport

Going town = public transport

All else, ride. Oh, and I try to avoid having a pillion as much as possible :D

After riding more than 20 years, I can count the days on my 20 digits (hands + feet ) the time I take to get public transport to go to work. Its not the smell, squeeze, noise or whatever that I dont enjoy, its just the freedom, bike give. Then I tried to have two bikes. 1 big, 1 small. incase 1 got problem, then ride the other 1. single??? can .now married. difficult. so take PT if that one bike spoil.

Oh it helped also when my work is only 6km away from home. worse scenario, jog to work.

The chio bu stares rarely occur to me. Maybe when I look at them they turn away. Reminds me a few days ago, aunty who was waiting at the traffic lights was staring at me. I turned to look at her and she turned away. Maybe 'cos I was shocked to see aunty stare at me, so she looked away. Obviously she's no chio bu or even lau chio.

Amen!

One more: Go ahead and stay late outside. No need to worry when the last train/bus will depart.

You dont have to wait for the bus, you can log in to IRIS and plan your time before you go down to bus stop. Supposed to be quite accurate because its bus tracking system. I do that when i bring my kid to my inlaws ulu place without MRT nearby.
