few days ago nearly banged an idiot jaywalking across orchard road. jit tao brake until front wheel almost skid, my right handlebar scrap something very slightly - i assumed it was not his body else he'd screamed, perhaps his bag.

actually there was a group of foreigners jaywalking. 1 decided to jog out while the rest got a shock and stand rooted when they saw a bike approaching them.

ride slower when packed/ lanesplitting.

orchard road stretch alot of jaywalking, and traffic there quite packed also. especially the stretch near lucky plaza.

is it me or is traffic lesser since the school holidays started?

today while riding,

jam on AYE even though its not peak timing. 11.30am!

bo bian have to lanesplit, so scary. very kanchiong hit mirror. behind got cub tailgating, so quickly move 1 side signal them to overtake then follow guai guai like dog. then i realise, much safer to follow behind than lead when lanesplitting.

i really need to brush up my lanesplit skills.

i hate to lanesplit but sometime i dun hv a choice bbut to lanesplit. i hate when a cub or a class 2 bike tailgate me when i lanesplit :"( its not that i'm slow or afraid but to ride cautiously. even ride cautiously may cause accident. u might not know if a motorist infront might change lane out of a sudden with or without signal. if that happens, its going to be fatal. like a fatality moves made by motorists. sounds crazy ya. but i still try to avoid this kind of situation.

Almost ran over a group of people standing in between cars while lanesplitting, luckily i jam brake and shift to the side at the very last minute. If can I give one good one then move on sia. Old people are worse, so slow still want to jaywalk, thats why many of them die that way.

bro, no offence. but if you lanesplit slow and see another bike behind you, move over and let them pass.

not fun staying behind a bike when it's clear in front and you have to open gas and tap brake repeatedly..

yup, i also lane split slow. if got bikes behind me, I'll just move into the lane and let them pass. Normally, I'll look out for some larger gaps between the cars, match their speed and go in for awhile. When the bikes pass, I'll come out and lanesplit again. Less pressure on me to go faster, less irritating for them to follow behind me.

Almost buanged onto the tail of a truck just now. Near serangoon gardens, the truck infront jammed brakes so I also jammed brakes but the road was wet and my bike tail skided....I quickly release the pressure on the brakes and direct the bike to the side....stopped beside the truck like only 1 inch of space. Scary. :giddy:

Today while riding.... after IPPT, went to JB to pump petrol. After crossing the Malaysia side causeway Bike ran out of fuel!!!

Bike RPM suddenly shoot up, the malay couple on a kup infront of me got a shock and let me pass. Felt so bad, I didn't ram throttle, it's I let go, it still goes up and up and up, then it back fires repeatedly before the engine stalls completely. :(

Why like that?!?!? Got 5 litres reserve, travel only 50 km all used up already. Change exhaust back to stock, F.C become so bad mare?!?! :?

Anyway, no choice cannot turn back, luckily the nearest petrol station is within walking distance.

So walk lor! Pushing the bike up the slope was no fun. Normally on level gound I can push one, when I first laid up my bike, I ever pushed from Yishun Dam all the way to Yishun Vicom for inspection to save money on calling Tow truck.

Ya, I know, I stingy... :cheeky:

But today, after IPPT still have to push bike up the slope at 12 noon! Wah Piang! :faint:

Stopped for 3 times, "KNN SiBei Shack!" But the most KNN thing was at the entrance to the Shell petrol station got 3 cars stop at the roadside, and I had to push around them while going up slope. :middle-finger: (Dam! no such emoticon)

Along the way, I saw a bird egg on the side of the road near the kerb, don't know where it dropped from, anyway, no choice, have to push on (literally)

plop! plop! plop! plop! (wearing boots today) Poor birdie.... :(

Then back in SG, I went to Planet and then went all over the place to look for a suitable after market wind shield. Had to horn a red taxi along Boon Keng when it tried to cut 3 lanes to pick up passengers. I don't like to use horn one leh, very loud I don't like. I 1 year horn how many times use hands can count one. :sian:

I not called Silent Hunter for nothing one mah! :cheeky:

Then went to Boon Keng to get them to customise a bracket. Let's see if their workmanship good or not. :)

(To be concluded next week)

On the way home, I remembered one of the most KNN reasons why I don't like taking public transport.

It's the holidays "Si Gin NaS"!

When I was alighting, Coming off my seat I saw a mother and child trying to get to the exit, so naturally I let them pass, while they were tapping their EZ-link card, another mother with her" No Big No Small Si Gin Na" came along, there was a space between them, so I stepped out, but in order not to fight for the same tapping machine, I started to go for the one farther away that nobody was using, but the 2nd mother was in the way, and I had to slow down a little, then the "Si Gin Na" Behind me started yelling "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME!"

I Si Bei Du Lan him, KNN want to faster, ask your mother jump off the bus lah! So when I got off the bus I turn around and said "Ya right excuse me!" Then the mother also know something not right, said to the boy "why you so rude?"

Wah piang, I let 3 people pass, you leave a big gap, I just passing through to go for the next machine that all 3 people I let go didn't use, also bo song must yell "EXCUSE ME! EXCUSE ME!" Turtle! You think say excuse me very polite is it? Might as well say "F*#K! OFF! F#@K OFF!" Say aready will faster mare? CCB Using your brain can or not? Next time go out drive car sure is a horner, confirm, selfish and won't give way to people one!

True enough, not your fault will also become your fault. Makes pedestrians think they are immune until they die playing leapfrog with vehicles. Almost kena ran over by car before so I got phobia of jaywalking.

I thought of the name Silent Hunter waaaaay...... before the Game "Silent Hunter" came out. :cheeky:

Maybe should sue them for copyrights!

Anyway, today while riding, I saw a Orange Terra rider wearing a Green Jacket along Mandai.

But it's not him that catchs my eye, it's his bike's chain. I have been noticing his chain since last month, and the chain was getting looser and looser over the weeks.

I wanted to tell him that last week, but was in a hurry. So today while riding my Phantom, when I got to stop behind him, so slapped his box and told him to tighten his chain!

He grin sheepishly must be already know, but lazy to do! Hahaha! Ride safe bro!
